Q2 Single or in a couple? Is travel with kids possible? Have you heard any myths about marital status or travel with kids and what have you found to be true/false?

I was walking this trail in Mount Cook national park and a parent marched passed me carrying a toddler and a baby. #pttravel A2

A2 Travel with kids is NOT easy. Sure there are amazing moments but equally it can be tough and the smile on 'gram doesn't tell the whole story. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 I’ve traveled solo, couple & in a group. Traveled with my Dad too. People thought it was weird to travel without Mum (but Mum doesn’t like much traveling). So people always thought traveling with just my Dad was weird, especially when leaving my boyf at home😂 #pttravel

@kate_frankie #pttravel a2 not my question.
I met a woman in a hostel in Durban SA. She was travelling the world with a 6-yr-old.
And then there's my friend Bea who did two months around USA with a ... they were either 8 & 10, or 10 & 12.

A2 #pttravel I’ve been told I shouldn’t solo travel. It never stopped me or I wouldn’t have seen much. If you have kids, I think travel is the greatest gift you can give. Get them out of their comfort zone & show them the world isn’t scary at all. I never got to do that

A2 I have no other experience than as a single person travelling. I don't know how it would be as a couple or with kids but I'm hoping if find someone similar and always travel

A2 Travelling was part of the reason we decided not to have kids. I know it can be done but it would definitely have had to be different! I think you have to give them disney etc as well #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2: It’ll just be different and you just gotta adapt. I feel I’d be stressed out travelling with kids maybe more a baby & always making sure I have facilities to hand but its probably just where I’m at in life. When its thrown at me I’ll be fine #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. I travel solo. Other than attention from touts (which everyone experiences), I’ve never had a problem. I just employ the same common sense safety measures I use at home. I still get outraged looks from people when I tell them I travel solo. #pttravel

A2- A lot of people ask when are kids old enough to travel. My son was 6 & my daughter 9 months when we moved to #Japan. My youngest was born there. They each have 15 countries down. It's about when you're ready, not them.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 What I have noticed travelling with kids is they seem to be more affected by time zone changes. Adults usually adjust after a day, but kids can take a few days. On our Japan trip last year my daughter was really badly affected and it made her sick a few mornings. #PTTravel
