replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 #PTTravel chat. I haven’t come across having age as a parameter in travel. But I had a misconception that’s it’s difficult to travel as we grow old until I met so many travellers in their 50’s exploring every corner of the world! Age is just a number

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. Oh yes. At 20, I was told I was “too young” to travel through certain countries alone and years later I was told I was “too old” to bungy jump off Macau Tower. Good thing I don’t listen to those people. 😃 #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 I’ve always looked younger than I am so people have assumed I shouldn’t be so interested in travel, able to afford it or I stuck out like a sore thumb on cruises #pttravel

A1 I was still backpacking in my 30's and I felt a bit old but only cos I didn't have the same things in common as university students any more and I didn't want to....but it was also cos I wanted somewhere quiet to sleep! #PTTravel

A2 Travel with kids is NOT easy. Sure there are amazing moments but equally it can be tough and the smile on 'gram doesn't tell the whole story. #PTTravel

A1 I was told I was too young and going to the 'wrong places' at 20 when I booked my first big solo trip. My parents were nervous but I'm so glad I did it.
Now, I'm less likely to do as much backpacking but I don't feel much older. Still the same excitement

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 I’ve traveled solo, couple & in a group. Traveled with my Dad too. People thought it was weird to travel without Mum (but Mum doesn’t like much traveling). So people always thought traveling with just my Dad was weird, especially when leaving my boyf at home😂 #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel a2 not my question.

I met a woman in a hostel in Durban SA. She was travelling the world with a 6-yr-old.

And then there's my friend Bea who did two months around USA with a ... they were either 8 & 10, or 10 & 12.

A2 #pttravel I’ve been told I shouldn’t solo travel. It never stopped me or I wouldn’t have seen much. If you have kids, I think travel is the greatest gift you can give. Get them out of their comfort zone & show them the world isn’t scary at all. I never got to do that

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie As you age your tastes and your knowledge changes, as does your experience. Some places are easier to visit if you're older and more experienced. Plus you've learned more about what you enjoy & find interesting anyway #pttravel
