Q2 What does 'part time travel' look like in your life & why does it work for you?

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A2: I lead a boring personal life. I have no dependents and little social interaction. So the only reason for me to book holiday off from work is to go visiting places. It's a great combo.

A2 - In a normal year my work schedule is very fixed, so I travel when my workplace is closed. It’s not negotiable. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #PTTravel

A2 #PTTravel is making the most of my 28 days (+ BHs) annual leave - cheap flights, cheap (but not nasty) lodgings and having lots of fun = perfect recipe + constantly knackered Stu!

A2 #pttravel My schedule works so I can have two weeks off about every month & a half for a minimal amount of vacation hours. Typically, I need to keep my trips down to two weeks & that’s how I plan them. It usually works.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 Its my 9-5 fitting around my travels 😂 rather than the other way round. Its prob why I’ve stuck with contract wrk for so long. I think #pttravel gives me a sense of balance in the world, I’m more in awe &surprised cos it provides a diff 2 my wrking life compared w/FTtravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2: Work my ass off for 6+/- months, then travel for 6+/- months. It feels so good to get away for some time. The USofA can really annoy me after a period of time. This year has been quite trying to my emotional well being. #pttravel

A2 I like the balance I get from doing travel part time. I get to work (make money) and have good holidays. If I plan it right I can travel regularly and get deals by not going when kids are on holiday. The test will be now that I have a house. Less trips?

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. I work in a sector that's really seasonal, so can have a bit of time between contracts. It gives me the time for longer trips, slow travel experiences. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. I take 4 weeks of leave each year. Two in the summer and two between Christmas and New Years. It works best that way with my job. This is the first year in a long time I won’t be traveling over New Years. :( #pttravel

A2 Part time travel means maximising weekend breaks - home and away to explore and maximising my annual leave. Always worth travelling for a long holiday on the Friday. I usually take 15 days annual leave & a short day on the Fri morn = 22/23 days in destination #pttravel
