Q1 Shoulder seasons refer to spring and autumn/fall. Do you take trips during these periods and why/why not?

A1 #PTTravel Best time; IMO. Prices usually cheaper, & not so crowded.

A1 We take trips all through the year but probably more in autumn and spring than other times. Missing our annual October visit to France 😬 #pttravel

A1 #pttravel Most of my international trips have been in the spring or fall. Better rates, smaller crowds. Italy in late October early November, around 20 C.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A1: yes, but mainly because i travel alone so aren't bounded by family/children etc. And it's cheaper.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 yes. I think there is no better place to be than the UK in summer, so traveling during other seasons is best for me. I often travel in November #pttravel

A1 #pttravel We love shoulder season travel as there are less people and interesting views. Of course what could be your main season, like summer, was low/shoulder season when we were in Argentina! We were the only ones in our lodge in Ibera National Parkl! :-)

It mostly depends on the best time of year for the location, what we want to see or do and the time with the least tourists (if applicable).

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. Unless it's travel for work, this is my preferred time to go anywhere. There's often bargains to be had for accommodation + bookings are easier to make. And in a lot of places, conditions are just as good as the end of the peak season #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1: Yes, spring and autumn are my favourite times to travel (back in normal times of course!). I avoid going away in summer - too expensive, busy and full of children. I don't mind a winter city break either. #PTtravel

#pttravel A1: also i have a habit of travelling to places which don't have "seasons" as we understand them here; often the best (driest!?) time to visit them is often in our shoulder seasons.

A1 I love shoulder season and I have no kids right now. Less crowds, mild temps and cheaper deals make it a great option. I also get to this point in the year & want/need a break

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 well, we did once do a USA trip especially in October so we could spend Halloween there.
