A1 I usually have a longer trip in autumn (at least a week) but usually only long weekend trips in spring (like to Thessalonki) The number of school holidays means I let my colleagues take that time. Last few years has meant a 7 day+ trip in June instead #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4. I took a cheap flights to Rhodes one October (around £30), then made my way around the Greek islands on ferries, picking up bargain deals on places to stay at the end of the tourist season #PTTravel

A4 I've had some great deals. Sometimes packages (flight & hotel) can be worth looking at. Very cheap flights when demand is lower in the UK

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4: Yes and yes. Walking into a lonely little hotel and asking how much for a night can be surprisingly pleasing. #pttravel

A4 yes you can find good deals particularly if Easter is very late. Though always worth checking if you want to visit a particularly thing that it is open during shoulder season. #PTTravel

A5 The good news would be if travel is OK in the spring. The bad news would be after so much was cancelled right now, practically every spring weekend is booked. Leisurely travel awaits no earlier than a mid-summer night's dream. #PTTravel
