Q2 Have you ever broken something on a trip that was important and not replaceable? (Injury question later!)

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. Not really. Minor injuries don't count, I guess. #PTTravel

well, there's the mysterious broken foot mentioned earlier. Lots of broken toes in general travel/everyday life.

Of course there was the ripped toenail, mild stove burn, & knife-ripped thumb on my Hike last year.

Don't give me sharp, hot, or hard objects.

A5 #pttravel In South Africa I was crossing a street & rushed to get out of the way of a car. I did something to my knee that made the next two days quite sore. Thankfully we were near the end of the trip & I didn’t have to do a lot of walking.

A5 I got a UTI in Uruguay last year. I had to go to the hospital to get antibiotics, and the doctor was so excited to meet someone from Canada that all he wanted to do was talk about some random Canadian indie band I'd never heard of. Also he charged me $300. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5 I tore the ligaments in my ankle tripping at the Canterbury train station two days before moving from England to Canada. Then our plane was delayed with two extra layovers. Atleast with the wheelchair I was able to skip to the front of the customs line 😂 #PTTravel

A5 #PTTravel Sprained my ankle on a detachment in Cyprus. Doc said light duties only, so I spent a lot of time chilling on the beach. There were some who said I'd done it on purpose!

replying to @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie A5. And I tore my calf playing korfball the week before going to Arctic Finland. I think I'm the first person ever to start a skiing holiday on crutches + improve before going home #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #PTTravel A5 I got injured on a work retreat and it was awful. We were playing kickball and I injured a ligament. So painful. I was new to the job so it was also embarrassing. I try to be extra careful on trips so I don't get hurt.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A5: oh, i forgot. I came back from Lesotho with really swollen ankles. I think I just had a small reaction to too many mozzie/midge bites!

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A5: oh! I got a piece of glass stuck in my foot in Antwerp. No biggie though - this is why I carry tweezers everywhere. A bit of dabbing with a handkerchief, some strong alcohol, right as rain in ten minutes.

A5 Luckily right at the end of a trip, I stumbled on two small steps and ended up in a boot for 12 weeks. Lateral ligament damage took ages to heal and still acts up now
