Q5 Have you ever travelled by water and what was the experience like? Could you do it on a lower budget?

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A5: i've taken ferries across the English Channel, the Irish Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and quite a few rivers. But I've never done a cruise-type thing, not even a river cruise.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5 Yes, I’ve gone on many day trips on boats but only 2 overnight 🚢. The first was Viking cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm and back, the other was in Vietnam. Both were a fantastic experience. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #PTTravel A5 Back in the days of 2017, I visited Venice and got my ego absolutely kicked by it - it's gorgeous but beyond what my levels were back then, lol. I got there by water and didn't connect with it, probably because I was frustrated with myself!

Dying to go back soon.

A5 #pttravel We've done multi-day cruises on the Danube/Rhine, Yangtze, Murray and Nile ... and I believe some operators offer a range of options to suit every pocket.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5 The trip to the Antarctic from Ushuaia. There was one day when everyone except one passenger was very ill because of the sea. The Southern Ocean can be very treacherous. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5 I’ve done some cruises, including the Red Sea. Was perfect for doing day trips where I wanted to see one thing in particular eg- Cairo, Valley of the Kings, Petra. It wasn’t expensive, but that’s all to change perhaps? #pttravel

A5- I've been on several cruises, but I prefer to enjoy the cruise instead of using it to visit someplace new

A5 I love travelling on the water. The Victoria clipper goes from Vancouver to Seattle and that was a great and scenic way to cross the border #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5: Have only once been on large cruise type ship. Prefer "lower budget" type of travel I suppose. Kayak, banka, perahu, your sailboat :-) Even those rusty buckets one can find deck space or sometimes a bunk in any port most anywhere in Indonesia/Philippines #pttravel

A5 we have done a Panama Canal cruise which was really interesting. You could reduce the price by having an inside cabin as lots of places in the ship to view from. Can save money by going at less popular times obviously. #pttravel
