Q3 Give some advice - when I say the word "delay"

A3 Build delays into your trips. Then you won feel pressure to keep moving to meet artificial deadlines and miss great sights along the way. #PTTravel

A3 Delay means 'don't panic there's nothing you can do about it' it will all work out but don't stress and do expect it! #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. Finding good food whilst you wait always makes the delay more palatable lol. No food means probably more grouchiness from me #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3: when out in the mountains you totally have to play along with the weather, when the conditions are worst outside try to be patient and read something! #PTTravel

A3 I never plan to have an internal flight the same day as an international.

Keep your adapter with you not just the charger #pttravel

A3 #pttravel Expect the unexpected; I always allow what I call 'tyre changing time' because, however you travel, something may crop up.

A3- I had a delay flying from St Louis to #Seoul. Missed my connecting flight in Dallas. Had to fly to London than #Incheon. Longest day ever.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. Patience. Eat snacks. Take a walk if you can. Talk to somebody. Distract yourself and don’t get worked up. #pttravel

A3 if you’re somewhere where weather can impact on flights and there’s a delay with your luggage- just pay for replacements of basics sooner rather than later (even if expensive) rather than thinking that it will turn up the next day. or the next. or the next #pttravel

A3 #pttravel I’ll answer your one word with one word, patience. You use the airlines, you’re going to encounter delays. It’s a good idea to have a backup plan & keep your first stop informed of what’s going on. Complain to the airline later & they will usually try to fix it.

A3 Consider delays a given when traveling and build them in. If you don’t have a delay, consider it lucky. Or try not to let delay automatically = stress. #pttravel https://t.co/8LWLmZijVL

A3 Roll with it. Shit happens and we have had a couple of significant delays. We got a bonus visit to Madrid once following a delay and diversion. Complain when you get home and get some cash back then. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. Don't get stressed about the things beyond your control. So use the additional time for things that are possible; read + research stuff, find food or drink to enjoy, have a nap, talk to someone, send emails, whatever you think will make the journey smoother later #PTTravel

A3 Roll with the punches! Part of travel is dealing with delays, cancellations & curve balls. Take the time to read, meditate, journal, catch up on emails or social media. Grab food, people watch & learn patience! You can meet great people too

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3 Don't stress...it might be even lead to an interesting experience. I once waited 24 hours for a share taxi on the border of Senegal and Guinea (Conakry). #PTTravel Picture of the town I waited 24 hours for a share taxi to fill.
