I'm in the North East of England as I have been for 17 months now. Can't wait for some travel. I have had a great weekend at home though with this one #auntietime

A1 #pttravel I was brought up in a secular household. I have never belonged to a church although I like to visit them. Our North Coast elk were visiting this Christian Fellowship down the street last winter.
A1 I was brought up Catholic and then rejected organised religion. Prefer to abide by my own code of morals and ethics based on how I would like to be treated. This was our childhood church. #PTTravel
A1 #pttravel Not particularly religious, Don't have a photo of our place of worship. Was a Nissen hut known locally as the Tin Tabernacle, which we shared with the Society of Friends. This is our local parish church, though.

A1 Big Catholic family for the most part. Irish origins for many grandparents or great grandparents. A lot of my maternal family were christened, married & buried in the same church. I'm not a regular attendee but I'm not totally out of the fold
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1: Not so much religious these days, brought up sort of christian. Still have the holy type books/teachings I grew up with. The family room in our house was the place of, study/worship. #pttravel

@kate_frankie I have just a hatch-match &dispatch mode.
This is Sta Maria of #Vigo (St Mary),where we venerate the Christ of the Victory (against Napoleon). Annnd, today is the Big Day! We are celebrating it! Not as crowded as usual, but celebrating at the end. #PTTravel chat
A2 Yes, rather ironically. I think the most interesting I’ve visited is Sheikh Zayed mosque in Abu Dhabi. #PTTravel
A2 #pttravel I found the big mosque in Singapore to be very interesting & like the rest of the city was wired with charging stations & Wi Fi while you worship.

A1- In the US, especially in the South, people a lot of times go to small churches in their neighborhood

I love visiting churches - the architecture is always beautiful and the history is often interesting to explore! Some of my recent favourites from my year abroad include St Sophia’s Kiev, Monastery in Huesca, Zaragoza cathedral and Vannes cathedral #PTTravel
