I've been out and about in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for the markets earlier. A bit damp but nice to walk around

A1 #pttravel I don’t have a lot of bird pictures, although I found a few things such as this African Fish Eagle I saw looking at the hippos in South Africa.

A1 I do like the challenge of trying to capture butterflies - not the easiest as they’re always on the move. #pttravel

A1 it was resting a couple months ago, but I'll attest this cicada could fly -- although, not for long. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 I loved seeing Albatross in NZ, Turns in Antarctica, and I have to give penguins an honourable mention naturally! #pttravel 🐧

A1 #PTTravel Australian bustards; apparently very rare. We thought they were emus, till a couple took flight. Not very good picture; the guide was braking frantically. I think he'd be in trouble if he hit one!

#PTTravel These birds live permanently in my backyard in #Florida, but we also have real egrets and sandhill cranes.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1: Me and my husband are keen bird observers, also when travelling. The most fascinating so far has been a Tui in Queenstown, NZ. We wondered who's singing so beautifully and noticed him in the middle green. #PTTravel
