Q5 Is there any type of bird or other wildlife you would like to see on your travels?

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4. My all-time favourite bird is the kookaburra. Its laugh soundtracked my years in Australia and I seek it out in zoos wherever I go. #PTTravel

RT @aok_NW: A3 #pttravel I saw a nest in the shed & wondered who it belonged to. After a while, I crawled up there to see if I could see a…

RT @Txiki_Tales: A3 This peacock stalked us in Cockermouth earlier this year…and had a fondness for walking back and forth over our pod roo…

A5: I would love to see puffins. And more penguins too. I saw one swimming in Wellington harbor, but I'd love to see some in Antarctica #PTTravel

A5 I’d love to see these little fellas in the wild rather than a zoo which has been my only experience to date. #pttravel

RT @ASolastie: @kate_frankie A2: There are so many. This year we have seen over 100 species in Finland. Here mute swan, the national bird o…

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5: Humming birds! I've seen them only one. #pttravel

replying to @ASolastie @ASolastie I love folklore. Do you have a link to any stories? #PTTravel

RT @StuartMHurlbut: @kate_frankie A2 This was in Stonham Aspal in Suffolk. #PTTravel https://t.co/RHXHhc3Szn

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5 I’ve still never seen a Puffin! Would love to see a wild Kiwi and the dream would be to visit the Kakapo island. And then… there’s penguin species I haven’t seen in the wild yet 🙃 #obsessed #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. I’d love to one day photograph hummingbirds. I wouldn’t mind seeing a spoonbill with my own eyes, too - just to make sure it’s definitely not a Pokémon. #PTTravel

RT @RooLovesTravel: @kate_frankie A3 I still get trauma flashbacks to the parrot that was obsessed with my mouth in Cairns 😅 #pttravel http…

replying to @RooLovesTravel @RooLovesTravel I had a koala swipe at me in one of the rescue centres. The photos next to it were tense! You look quite tight lipped on this one #PTTravel

RT @Txiki_Tales: @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie I don’t mind swans - this was the A19 near us about 18 months ago. The actual road. Took 16 mon…

A5 #pttravel Nothing stands out. Whatever wildlife the area has to offer. I took this picture today on the roof next door of two crows talking over events.

A5 #PTTravel Puffins, cassowary (from a safe distance) ... and, of course penguins. Also, I'd like to get some decent pictures of humming birds ... like the one I unsuccessfully chased around a bush in Guadeloupe!

replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales @RTWBarefoot No way! That must have been bad. I'm trying to think of that flood news. They look happy #PTTravel

RT @HeyJonTheGo: A3: Seagull + poop + ice cream in San Diego. I'm just glad I saw it happen, given how it looked similar #PTTravel

replying to @PamelaBarroway @PamelaBarroway No wonder it gave me a side-eye look when I called its name. #PTTravel

replying to @findinganeish @kate_frankie A5. Currently I’m on the lookout for a green woodpecker. I glimpsed one in Geneva once but they’re nowhere near as common in Scotland. Maybe if I make it down to Brighton later this year… #PTTravel

RT @bigfatheadz: A3 this tree had about 20 hyacinth macaws in it which seemed a little unusual. Hadn't seen one for about 2 hours drive. Di…

A4 I don't condone the second photo. It was such a weird tourist thing. Getting up close is interesting but they should be free & flying around.
I saw some beautiful birds in LATAM and Australia/New Zealand plus islands

Q6 What advice do you have for anyone wanting to go bird watching or taking photos of flying species?

RT @StuartMHurlbut: @HeyJonTheGo I saw lots of penguins in Antarctica...#PTTravel https://t.co/yzts0u0qTq

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @kate_frankie #pttravel I had a pied woodpecker at my feeders the other morning. My 'resident expert' says they wouldn't eat anything in the feeders. Maybe the woodpecker didn't know that?

replying to @ASolastie @ASolastie I've never seen one in person. I would love to watch them #PTTravel

RT @JKatzaman: A5 I guess it's too late to make a reservation with a passenger pigeon. #PTTravel

RT @Txiki_Tales: A5 I’d love to see these little fellas in the wild rather than a zoo which has been my only experience to date. #pttravel…

A5 I would really like to visit the subantarctic islands off New Zealand.
I'm also on a mission to see all the different flavours of penguin in the wild #PTTravel

A6 The more you can stay still, the better chance you'll have of getting a good bird photo and a decent sunburn. #PTTravel

replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales I never got tired watching them. I have so many great memories. Highly recommend #PTTravel

A6 #pttravel Know what you’re doing & what you want to see. If you haven’t done a lot of bird watching, maybe find some bird watchers to go out with at first.

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish #pttravel I have some pictures I took at Australia Zoo, but they're not the same. and they're not very good, anyway.
