Q4 Are hidden gems hard to find? Are they off the beaten track and why/why not?

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A4: not necessarily. Some are, because they're a long or expensive or inrefquent journeys, but some could be as easy to find as taking the second left from the high street instead of the third left.

replying to @Travel_Session A4- Hidden gems aren't hard to find, but you have to be willing to break from the crowd and forge your own path

A4 #PTTravel Not really ... ask at hotel reception, or a taxi driver (that's how we found the Bird Garden in Agadir). Better still, set aside a day for just 'parping about' aimlessly. You'd be surprised what you stumble across.

A4 Despite the jokes about Ryanair destinations, it does make you look at the map and research lesser known places. My first trip to Bremen was because of a cheap flight - it became my favourite German city. #pttravel

A4 #PTTravel It could be hard to find them. I’d review travel books, social media, @TripAdvisor or equivalent or just ask around.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A4 "off the beaten track" is one of my strongest niches, yet the phrase itself is subjective. WHat's off 'my' beaten track might not be off yours.

There are locals everywhere for whom it's not to them.

A4 No. But my gem could be your coal? I love just exploring where people actually live and looking at different types of housing. So to me seeing houses and buildings and streets are my hidden gem! #PTTravel
