Q2 Which is the highest mountain range you've climbed/hiked or seen in person on your travels?

A2 The Lake District is pretty special and you can still find places that aren’t too busy if you go at the right time. #pttravel

A2 I’ve walked up Snowden a couple of times but that’s about it for anything even relatively more than a bit of a mound. #pttravel

A2 #PTTravel I’ve driven the mountains of Colorado twice. I visited @RockyNPS & you’re at the 12000 ft level which will take your breath away…literally. These pics were taken in Western Colorado.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel a2 the highest I've *been* is a shade under 4000m in Sichuan province of China. The highest I've *seen*, just, through the mist & fog, are some of the Himalaya in Nepal.

A2 #PTTravel Actually walked in the French Alps; Sulphur Mountain, near Banff, was higher, but we rode up on the cable car.

A2: That would have to be the Rockies in both Canada and the US #pttravel. The Himalayas are top of the list along with the Andes in Patagonia.

A2 Way back in 1979 we drove through what I think was Wolf Creek Pass in the Rocky Mountains, but being that long ago, don't hold me to that being the correct name. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. The highest I've been is probably to the top of Tongariro in New Zealand, at 1967 metres, as a sidetrack to doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing #PTTravel

replying to @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie A2. But I did get a glimpse of Mount Français, the highest peak on the Antarctic peninsula at 2760 metres, pink with alpenglow from our living room window. (This isn't Français behind the Base A building, this is Mount William at the south end of Anvers Island). #PTTravel
