replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales @kate_frankie #pttravel I just spilt some! Fortunately, it was white wine & we have a wood veneer floor. It wasn't very nice wine, anyway! 😃😃

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @Txiki_Tales @kate_frankie I have toffee milkshake, the carton of which took me a while to open it as the tag broke in my fingers when I was trying to open it more carefully than last time a couple of days ago when it spurted on my t-shirt upon opening. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel I am well. Just been for a nice walk in Amesbury, wondering what happened to the rain we were promised?

RTWBarefoot

replying to @RTWBarefoot @NomadKeith @Txiki_Tales @kate_frankie srsly. Today has either been torrential rain, or sunny with blue skies. Currently it is raining. #pttravel

#pttravel A1: .,. like ... many of my adventures are quite short. City breaks, or just trips away to meet a friend and/or drink beer in a pub, etc. I have one coming up later this month even.

Most Memorable? Tricky question #pttravel

RTWBarefoot

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie yup! #pttravel of all the people to host a twitter chat, we're not the most likely :D

A1 #PTTravel In the midst of a NW heatwave, I once went up to British Columbia & saw the cities of Kelowna & Kamloops. It was even warm up there, but a fun weekend.

A1 My adventures to the Netherlands and particularly Belgium come to mind. Amazing mini adventures from the UK.
Special mention to Northumberland and Scotland too.

A1 #PTTravel Choice between Alderney and Tiree. I finished the work I had to do early, and in each case, had a day or two until my flight/ferry home.

A1 All of them! The vast majority of our trips are 2/3 nights and we probably do at least half a dozen each year. Can’t beat a couple of nights in Granada, Venice, Bilbao, Seville…I could go on forever! #pttravel

replying to @Travel_Session A1- When I lived in #Germany, we took a mini adventure to the 🇩🇪#BlackForest, 🇨🇭#Zurich, and 🇨🇭#RhineFalls. That trip always sticks out in my mind.

#pttravel A2: the best countries or regions or mini-adventures are the ones you're in, or which are nearby and you can easily get to. Remember 'everywhere is interesting'. :)

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Good evening #PTTravel chat. Just catching up as I thought I'd broken my phone with all the rain yesterday, but fingers crossed it's looking ok. I'm back in Ballater after a few days walking the #CateranTrail in Perthshire/Angus.

A2 #PTTravel Most countries are good. I'd recommend take a cruise ... that can be one mini-adventure after another!

RTWBarefoot
1

replying to @RTWBarefoot #pttravel I recall in other chats, people saying that any journey of up to about 3-4 hours is a good length to do a minibreak.

Given Scotrail are on strike on Sundays that suggests for me a range of about ... three cities :D

A2 The budget airlines mean pretty much all of Europe is a good option from the UK. Off to Croatia next week. There are some real bargains at the moment - just bagged January flights to Bilbao for £36 return. #pttravel

A2 #PTTravel You can do a lot of mini trips just traveling around the Pacific Northwest. I took these in Denio, Nevada on the Nevada/Oregon border along with the Tea Pot gas station in Zillah, Washington.
