replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot A2. Pre-Covid, pre-Brexit I wouldn’t have thought twice of weekending in mainland Europe. In the aftermath of both, however, I’ve been enjoying weekends in Alnwick, York and Brighton instead. #PTTravel

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW ah cool! #pttravel I like the way it's been moved/preserved several times rather than being torn down.

@RTWBarefoot More than 20.000 students live in Santiago each year. They usually have their family houses in other Galician Cities, and were probably coming back to classrooms? 🙅
Anyway, it's a pity. If you come back to Spain, please try again. It worths the visit ❤️

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie You need to shop around. It may be cheaper to fly than to use the train especially if you book a sleeper. I guess it also depends on what you want to do. #pttravel

@aok_NW @kate_frankie It was cheaper for me to fly from Portland OR to San Francisco than it was get either the train or the greyhound.
But I know other flights can be super-expensive. A couple of other US friends tell me it depends how popular the airports are. #pttravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot A2. Well, nearby Europe was perfect. Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, northern Spain, France, western Norway, and Ireland are all pretty accessible from where I'm based, but with Brexit and Covid factored in, it's likely to be closer to home #PTTravel
