I'm at home in North East England today but have had my first short break to Jersey (technically overseas even though its domestic).
It was really good. Also booked Majorca for next year with family. Travel is coming back!

A1 For me it means getting the best value for a trip, not necessarily the cheapest option. One change Iāve made in the age of Covid is that Iāll only ever book accommodation that can be cancelled rather than taking a cheaper non-refundable rate. #pttravel

A1 #PTTravel 'Travel Deal' and 'Good value' are not always synonymous. All too often, costs have been pared to an absolute minimum, and the experience may be a little bit this side of heaven.

I think they can both be different things - "travel deal" would normally be a great price, but "good value" doesn't always mean cheapest is necessarily best. You could have a Ā£90 hotel room with no extras, or a Ā£100 hotel room with free breakfast & other inclusions. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #PTTravel My son got caught a couple of years ago by a 'travel deal' offered by a 'red top'. He said he paid so much for 'extras', which are usually included as standard, he might as well have booked through a travel agent in the normal way.

It's about getting a quality product or service that meets your requirements, adds a bit extra, plus the customer service + attention to detail that raise something above the basic expectations #PTTravel

A2 #pttravel We booked the trip, then heard that there were insufficient numbers, and would we like to book for 2 weeks later. They gave us Ā£100 discount ... even though the later trip was Ā£150 more expensive!

A2 Last trip to Venice (Jan 2020) still a great bargain. Ā£65 per night 4* hotel with breakfast plus return flights from UK for Ā£60 each. Plus wine from ā¬1 per glassā¦ if you know where to go and what to ask for! #pttravel
