A4 I always look for good flights now. Or train. Accommodation can be quite a range and most places have good transport networks. Food/drink is also possible to find at better value. Its usually getting there that costs or has limited options
A4. Definitely private accommodation. I have such a long list of places that I want to visit that I can always cherry-pick the cheapest flights to somewhere I want to visit. But, because I don't fancy hostels, affordable quality accommodation is hard to find!

replying to @DawnCorleone @DawnCorleone June 2019. It was monsoon season in the South & blistering hot in the North. If I went back, I would rethink the time of year to visit. #pttravel

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @aok_NW A friend once had some Laotian cigars that another friend had brought back. They were beyond hideous. #PTTravel
replying to @char_x0 @char_x0 Great prices there. Did you have to sacrifice good flight times or baggage for those prices? #PTTravel
A4 #PTTravel At the moment, a standard-priced, not too expensive PCR test! In UK, cheaper train fares,
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4) I wish accommodation was cheaper (especially in the UK) #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4: Flights, with no restrictions. Because I would rather spend my money on adventures with people, food, cooking and eating, drinking and parties and fiestas and just generally wandering around seeing what there is to see and do. #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4: I always look for accommodation deals because it doesn't generally bother me where I stay as long as it's clean. I also look out for discounts on activities! Like I recently did the huge zipline in Wales, which is quite expensive but I got a 2 for 1 voucher. #PTTravel

replying to @DawnCorleone @DawnCorleone Its a great place to go. I've been a few times now #PTTravel
replying to @char_x0 @char_x0 @kate_frankie That’s why we do so many European city breaks. Add everything up and they can be significantly cheaper than UK. #PTTravel

A5 I’ve still got 6 booked and 2 more cancellations to rearrange. Better make do with that for now! #PTTravel
replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales @kate_frankie Agreed! It’s cheaper to leave 😂 #PTTravel
A5 #pttravel I haven’t planned anything yet, but I am planning to resume some domestic travel first quarter of next year. I’ll do what I’ve done in the past, check third party sites plus actual corporate web sites for best prices.
A5 #PTTravel Options for the New Year are:
Madeira
Italian lakes and Swiss trains
Fjords/Northern Lights cruise.
We'll decide when we get back from Wales ... maybe restrictions will have eased a little by then, too?
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith Yes! PCR tests. I'm double vax but would still be required to do a test for most places on return (if not also going). How can the prices range so much? £69-£99 was the general price range but some were much more. Also saw Gov list which quotes £3 for some but where?! #PTTravel

Wouldn’t pay a penny more for the farce that post entry testing is. Cheapest I’ve seen for proposed Day 2 LFTs is £19. Available from Friday for returns Sunday onwards. I’ll be buying one! #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Philippines, 6 years ago. Nope, was told about it by a vendor in the market behind my low rent bungalow (was flirting with her to get a better price) she and her husband picked me up (3 on a motorcycle!) I had no choice but to go. It was a great night of the finest kind #pttravel

A5 I'm wondering when I'll get away for my next short break. I've got 2 weeks booked next year with family. 8 months away though.

A6 Research, research and more research. And buy early to lock in some deals. #PTTravel
A6 #pttravel I’d recommend loyalty programs. Follow the basic rules such as book your air 90 days before departure. Be ready to check a lot of websites & don’t wait for the last minute.
