A3 Last summer we stopped by the Flight 93 memorial in Pennsylvania where the passengers downed their hijacked plane on 9/11. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A3: I don't have any pics to hand of the Buchenwald Concentration Camp but that was quite a place. A couple of museums on site telling you exactly what happened, plus, the ruins.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3: Got about a third of the way through the Nagasaki memorial. Asked a guard to leave, he opened a back door and let me out. Found a park nearby and took a deep breath, watched some kids playing awhile. Kind of stay away from such places since then. #pttravel

A3 #pttravel There was this display in Zagreb, Croatia I never figured out. It was some kind of reenactment of soldiers marching through town & stood guard over the town fountain.

Even tho the subject was very familiar to me from excessive history lessons, I still had 4 hours in it because it was so interesting & in-depth. *And* I felt rushed!

They were ordered to take off their shoes & were shot & their bodies fell into the river. It represents their shoes left behind #pttravel
