Hello everyone! I'm in North East England and have celebrated the end of my coach training course. I'm now working on my accreditation with ICF.
I submitted an application for a job too.
Good week all round.
Hello from the Oregon Coast where it’s been like summer this weekend. I took these pictures yesterday & it looked more like June than February. It’s funny, one year ago, we had snow & ice this same time.#pttravel

Pouring down all day, so couldn't get out to buy trail mix. Just got a stack of oatmeal biscuits instead!

Q1 Which museums have you visited on your travels and what did you enjoy most?
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith @findinganeish @vickyinglis13 @JKatzaman @RooLovesTravel @CharlesMcCool @Txiki_Tales @thethoughtcard @5to9traveller @always5star Raining here too. I have a glass of wine and some minstrels #PTTravel
A1 #pttravel How long have you got? I'll start with one of my favourites, the National History Museum in Oxford ... which also has the Pitt-Rivers Museum, in a sort of annex.
A1 #pttravel I liked the @corningmuseum in Corning, NY. It’s all about glass, they showed us a glass blower making a dish that was given away to one of the visitors.
A1 In 1986 we visited the Louvre. We were told ahead of time that the Mona Lisa is very small. They were right. #PTTravel
replying to @NomadKeith #pttravel That should, of course, read the Natural History Museum!

My top five - in no particular order - are probably these. They’re all good, though some are certainly not enjoyable.
Vasa – Stockholm
The tenement museum – New York
Anne Frank’s house – Amsterdam
The women’s factory – Hobart
Auscwitz/Birkenau – Oswiecim, Poland

A2 If you call rocks art, we saw the Hope Diamond at the Natural History Museum in Washington, D.C. #PTTravel
A2 #pttravel 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring' at the Mauritshuis in The Hague. No print, postcard or photograph could ever replace those delicate colours. And, I just about had that floor to myself.
A2 #PTTravel I visited the Louvre a few years back & was able to see Venus De Milo & the Mona Lisa. Although I was glad I able to see them, I wasn’t really that moved by it.
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith I love the @Pitt_Rivers museum, full of incredible treasures and stories. I volunteered there, in natural history museum, and the museum of the history of science when I first moved to Oxford #PTTravel
A1
Gugguenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain and Le Louvre Museum in Paris, France of course. The architechture of these masterpieces fascinates me more than what they content.

@kate_frankie #PTTravel A2:
Rembrandt’s “Night watch” in the Rijksmusem in Amsterdam was pretty impressive.
But I prefer non-art exhibits, like the Fram expedition ship, the Vasa or Thor Heyerdahl’s Kon-Tiki raft.
replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW #pttravel It didn't do much for me, either. My immediate reaction was 'Is that it?' Much better experience of 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring'
replying to @flholst @flholst @kate_frankie I'd really love to see the Vasa. And a friend of mine has started working in Vrak, the shipwreck museum nearby. #PTTravel
replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 @Pitt_Rivers #pttravel I know someone who volunteers there. The question she's most often asked: 'Where are the shrunken heads?' People can be ghouls sometimes!
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. I quite enjoyed the Guggenheim in Bilbao. I never really think of myself being interested in art, but there were some really cool installations + the building is incredible #PTTravel

A1 I have so many top museums. I love learning about places by going to local museums.

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW I wonder if its the hype. Too much exposure to the Mona Lisa? It wasn't my favourite either but still felt good to stand in front of the real thing. Sistine Chapel was much more moving for me #PTTravel

A3 #pttravel The Adelaide Museum. I thought I was going to see an exhibition of Aboriginal art. Turned out to be more conventional art, produced by First Nations people. I enjoyed it, though.

@kate_frankie #Pttravel A2: yeh. Mostly underwhelming. I prefer lesser-known stuff. Like, I'm not saying they're not worth seeing, just that they're no better necessarily than other things in the gallery/museum.
That said, I find many art museums and galleries quite dull.
