@kate_frankie #pttravel A1: every country has a developed the concept of baking meat encased in pastry. From the pastries and sausage rolls in the UK, through the empanada of Chile, to the samosa of ex-Soviet Central Asia.
Greggs could take full advantage of this, you know.

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW We've had storms moving across the UK over the past few days. High winds. I've been safe but others have had damage to houses/cars. A few people died unfortunately #PTTravel

I've learnt on my travels that some places you can find good tea, some you find good coffee, only Ireland makes them both well and the USA does neither well. #PTTravel A1

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. I grew up comparing all of the countries I lived in, determined that Australia was better than Britain, then that Germany was better than both. Now I know better. There’s beauty to be found everywhere. #PTTravel

A1: I’ve learned that America isn’t the end all be all. I never really believed that but that belief is so pervasive in American culture that it’s hard not to think it just a little. #PTTravel

@kate_frankie #pttravel A2: a need to be somewhere for a reason, not just because 'oh why not'.
It's very easy for me to get bored and feel disenchanted with a place. I always need to be 'doing' something.
