More than one destination

replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith Yes, that’s the tricky and more limiting element. #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie lmk if you need a travel buddy, tho I suspect our travel styles and granular-level detail of generic places like 'Africa' are very different ..... :D #pttravel
replying to @dgtlwriter @dgtlwriter @kate_frankie I like using rail travel as well. Beware of the Balkans. There is very little rail service down there, but they have a great system of highways & also a good network of air conditioned busses if you choose to do that. I rented a car for most of my trip. #pttravel
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith Morocco would be a great place to travel around and see different areas. How did you travel between the places? #PTTravel
A3 Last weekend - Santander (for a couple of hours) and then Bilbao plus Getxo on the coast. #pttravel
replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish I've done more than one US state/city too. Once you're there, you might as well try to cover more than one. So big and very diverse #PTTravel

A3 #pttravel Visiting the Balkans was a classic example of multi-country travel. 4 countries & was the longest trip I’ve taken.

@aok_NW @kate_frankie @dgtlwriter yeh when I was Inter-Railing in Autumn 2019, there was basically only one route in to Belgrade and nowhere to go to afterwards cos of engineering work.
And getting from Banja Luka to Sarajevo was ... I heard mixed reports about whether that line was even operational. #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel Coach to Marrakech; private hire to Essaouira, Tatoudant and Tioute. We've also used the 'chameau allemand' (German camel = Mercedes taxi) And, the 'petit taxis' (usually Peugeot 106 or Renault Clio) are great for getting around the towns.
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie @dgtlwriter That’s what I encountered. You can travel by train from Western Europe to Ljubljana & Zagreb, after that, you need to find another way to get around. Croatia in particular invested in motorways instead. #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel Same trip, my inter-rail effort in Autumn 2019. In the wrong order we have Trier (Germany), the Swiss/Liechtenstein Border, the Italian/Slovenian border, and a church in Olomouc (Czechia).

A3 Two really great trips
*Africa - Kenya and Tanzania (multiple places including Serengeti safari and ending in Zanzibar)
* Central America - Guatemala, Belize and Mexico
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Yeah, especially on the east coast where the cities are so close together. I don’t think I realised until I got there that Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Providence and Boston were practically neighbours. #PTTravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie #pttravel I was trying to find something with successive days. This is four in five: again wrong order but: Tashkent, Khiva, Aral Sea, and (what's left of the Amu Darya river in) Nukus. All in Uzbekistan but all far away from each other.

River Cruise ... the best kind of multi-destination trip https://t.co/WJpUfn1m8k
A4 #pttravel If your one who wants to relax, you won’t do that with multi destinations. I live 2 miles from an ocean beach, so I’m not going to go halfway around the world for that. Many destinations means seeing more on one trip which is why I do it.
replying to @dgtlwriter @dgtlwriter @aok_NW @kate_frankie haha #pttravel I don't have the dedication to the cause to maintain that sort of site, so full respect to him!
