replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel I'm in Amesbury. Weather slowly improving, and spirits good, because we finally booked a few days away after Easter/ (Only Devon, but at least, we'll be outa here!)
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Good evening from Ballater, Aberdeenshire. After a fortnight of travelling, I'm finally back home in the Cairngorms National Park after an incredible four months away in South Georgia #PTTravel

Q1 What are your favourite travel things on long flights, train journeys or long drives, and why?
replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @kate_frankie While I'm sad to have left such an incredible place, and the fab people I was with, there's something really nice about coming home to a familiar place #PTTravel
A1 #pttravel I like to have entertainment on long haul travel. My favorite thing to have is my tablet so I can either read or watch video.

I'm hosting from North East England. I had a lovely walk in the park and chat with a friend today. Lovely sunshine.
9 weeks until my first two week holiday overseas. Into single digits! 🙌❤
A1 #PTTravel Probably old fashioned but ... my MP3 player, with a playlist of 60s, 70s and 80s hits and another of light classical

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. My favourite things when travelling long distance are a window seat, earphones to drown out other travellers and, if flying, Maoam to keep my ears from exploding. #PTTravel

A1 I love to have noise cancelling headphones, my phone, a notebook and pen, comfy socks/shoes and some form of entertainment. I watch films on flights or listen to music.
Snacks are always a good idea too
replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie Yeah, it’s always hard leaving somewhere interesting, and gets harder the longer you’re there. But it’s also nice to have a buttery for breakfast. #PTTravel

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish Sweets for my ears too. I have real trouble equalising them but if I have a sweet as we ascend/descend, I'm ok. Window seat on a train is my preference too #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. I love a train picnic, with some snack treats that I wouldn't usually buy, a good playlist or podcast to soundtrack the trip, and a new book or magazine to dive into. And a window seat to take in the views or just watch the clouds . #PTTravel
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith Music is great for long travel days. I like the sound of those playlists #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Yeah, it makes a huge difference. The descent is always worse for me for some reason. It can be really painful if I’ve not got something to chew. #PTTravel
A1: I don't really use electronics on long distance trips as I get motion sickness, so I don't bring any with em. I do however make sure to bring a big scarf with me. It acts as a small blanket and keeps me warm on cold planes and buses, especially around SE Asia. #PTTravel
replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW Films are my go-to on flights. Especially 7 hours or more. Breaks it up. I haven't flown long haul in two years which will be strange when I do #PTTravel

replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 @findinganeish A buttery? Remind me #PTTravel
replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie A fellow volunteer always brings them along on a Thursday. I need to find out where he gets them from because they’re huge. #PTTravel

@kate_frankie A1 I only read books on planes or trains, so I load up my Kindle before I go.

A2 #PTTravel Mt, Rushmore, Dubrovnik, Croatia, Sunset in Piran, Slovenia & Oceanside, California
replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie #pttravel 'Something from Greggs' and an apple are my ideal!
replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 You had me at train picnic! Podcasts are something I need to get back into. I really enjoyed them during lockdown and now don't listen to many. Books are also piling up #PTTravel

The Great Ocean Road was where I finally worked out how to use the panorama feature on my tablet!
A2: I like train travel, and sometimes the scenery outside is spectacular. Some of my favourite train journeys were in Norway, where it's so hard to close your eyes and sleep, as the landscape is so beautiful. #PTTravel
Books & noise cancelling headphones are my essentials on long journeys #PTTravel A1
