Q4 Schedules and plans, or take it as it comes on a trip? Share stories

A4 #PTTravel I rarely go anywhere without at least a rough idea of what I want to see/do. So, there's always a rough itinerary, although it's by no means set in concrete.

A4: I usually make plans for about a half day. These include museums, cathedrals, ruins, hikes, etc. I try to have about half a day for more relaxation and just wandering around. We're typically busy and on the move from 9 am till around 2ish pm. #PTTravel

A4 #PTTravel Domestic trips, I’ll often wing it without much planning. International travel, I’ll usually have well planned just because I don’t like surprises & want to know what I’m going to encounter as much as possible.

A4 Limited plans but never afraid to go off-piste. I’m not one for spending hours (and £s) at attractions. If I find a nice bar with a view and/or a real local vibe, I’ll be happy. #PTTravel

A4 If you're not married to flight or rail schedules, you're better off giving yourself the freedom to freelance along the way with better chances of pleasant surprises before the trip ends. #PTTravel

A4 I'm much more of a planner. I do like having at least some things booked and a rough trip itinerary. Occasionally, I'll do a trip with no real plan but not big ones

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4. Both. I'll have some things I must do (usually food-based😅), then leave most of my time for random exploring. I've had some of my best experiences (that I probably would've never found on my own) thru recommendations from locals and other travellers #PTTravel

A4: A4: I used to very much be the "see everything, go everywhere" kinda guy but I've started to value just wandering around in a destination more. I was gonna say I only went to two places with entrance fees in BCN but just saw my photos and I'd be lying 😂 #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4. I tend to spread the cost out by buying flights one month, accommodation the next, then currency and train tickets, so I plan a couple of months in advance. #PTTravel
