A5 #pttravel Social media & blogs have been very helpful in my planning. I remember planning Vietnam, I didn’t have much to go on until I found a discussion group on Facebook about Vietnam & most of the posters had actually been there. It filled in a lot of blanks for me.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel a5: .... no. In that i knew the principles and concept of much of the world before Travel Blogging was A Big Thing, so all the places I go, I already knew about in a way. What New Media does do is make it easier to learn about them & hone my adventures more efficiently.

A5 #pttravel Ideally, social media or a blog is a personal impression, which you may or may not like. However, a good post can arouse my interest. and make me wish to find out more before I jump up and say 'I must go!!'
