A1 #pttravel If I do go off the beaten path, it’s usually just in my country. I stay in the big cities on international trips. Denio, Nevada on the Oregon/Nevada border was definitely off the beaten path.

A1 #PTTravel Funnily enough, the Lake District! My cousin, a Park Ranger, told me that visitors rarely venture more than 400 yards from their car. So, once you've passed that distance, you can, if you avoid the more frequented routes, have the fells to yourself.

A1 I thought I had finally gotten off the beaten path in Kaiserslautern, Germany, finally seeing no English or American traces. Then I turned the corner to see Harry's Gift Shop in all it's one-block glory. I was sad. #PTTravel
