replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel a1: er. other people, mainly. Admin. Bureaucracy. Late-running buses.
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Good evening from Brechin in Angus. #PTTravel https://t.co/5yYRusDd1w
A1: Arriving at my destination early morning, and not being able to check in to my hotel until 1,2,3PM. Most of the times I am very tired after travelling at night and all I want is a bed to sleep on. #PTTravel
replying to @JordanJaunt @JordanJaunt @kate_frankie I said something similar #pttravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot I certainly am. Last leg now, in Mumbai. Flight home in a few days. Forgot how much energy I need for the big trips 😴 its been good though. Just need to get used to the travel - 5 cities and flights every couple of days plus overland, meetings etc #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1: Other humans can be pretty irritating 🤣 But I try to minimise what i let annoy me while travelling. because it's a privilege and life is too short to let that crap get to you. #PTTravel
A1 #PTTravel People who, as soon as your aircraft'train/coach comes to rest, jump up and start fiddling with their hand luggage, blocking the aisle for people who want to get off.
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie ooof sounds quite intensive. Not enough time to recover from the travel until you're off again, and presumably busy working every day, little time to chill and switch off? #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie excessive costs of domestic travel #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel a1: frequently though, my own brain.
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith Very good! UK just signed a bilateral education agreement which helps. I'd like to think my trip was the catalyst 😆 Boris takes note clearly haha. I met my team in person for the first time so that's been brill #PTTravel
A1 #pttravel Airports in general. Crowds of people who don’t know what they are doing. Overkill security & airports that are not well laid out (O’Hare, DeGaulle)

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot Yes, let's discuss bureaucracy. Why oh why do people assume some form of strange power for the slightest rule that is often completely over complicated and/or unnecessary?! #PTTravel
Hi there, I'm joining from somewhere between Düsseldorf and Minden in Germany (sitting on a train) #pttravel

A1 Mostly other travellers. People that are ignorant and respectless. Today, there were many people on the train listing to TikToks without headphones 😫😵 #pttravel
replying to @HHLifestyleTrav @HHLifestyleTrav Very good point! I've had that tested a little this trip but glad to say laughed most of it off #PTTravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie Bureaucracy would also be my rank 2 😬 #PTTravel

Q2 If you could change one or two things to make travel less irritating, what would they be and why?
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1: Agree with the mentioned bureaucracy. I hate sorting out visas as they are often not as straightforward to find on a govs website and doing lots of paperwork and preparations before going to a place. I stick to travel in Europe where its easy to move around #PTTravel

@kate_frankie In general, people like to know that they're needed. So create situations where they are. But also create situations that require them to do as little actual work as possible. So all the hassle is on the customer not the office.
Also, money. #pttravel
replying to @OanaRoua @OanaRoua I've recently had that in Australia because sth in my room was broken and all others full. Luckily, the hotel was really helpful and gave me some free breakfast #PTTravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @kate_frankie But in terms of travel, certain procedures make it very difficult to a) visit, b) get around, c) do everyday things in certain countries, possibly to disencourage tourism (or at least force them into hiring tour guides or agents or fixers). #pttravel
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @NomadKeith We joke at the moment that we could become Education Secretary because we are actually linked to it and, let's face it, cabinet will end up being decided by general ballot soon #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2: Probably exists and I haven't been aware of it, but an app that would sort out any visa for you would be ace. All you do is state the country you're going to, you leave your passport details and the app does the process for you. #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. My biggest irk is travel itself. I spend every journey, whether by train, bus or car, wishing it would just stop and let me off so I can properly appreciate the scenery. #PTTravel
