I am hosting from the North East of England, near Durham.
I finished a 7.5 mile run (with a few brisk walks in the middle) today and tge littlest member of the family was happy to see Newcastle United win yesterday. I've told him not to get too excited.

@kate_frankie oooh, exciting :) and yay fpr running!
I ran yesterday (Parkrun, 5km) but today I walked. 34k steps in total, including two pubs. #pttravel
A1 My memories are of a two week trip to coincide with the annual works shutdown, initially to North & Mid Wales, then to Dorset, then the Channel Islands - we got steadily more adventurous! #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. We used to go camping a lot in Australia, while in Germany we’d go on road trips across the Continent. Very happy memories indeed. #PTTravel

A1 Summer trips growing up were usually camping. Scotland, Lake District or Yorkshire. Some of them seemed endless and involved a lot of playing games, riding bikes and going to the beach if one was nearby.
I also remember Spain or France some years
A2 It might sound a bit daft but I’ve been to Seville twice in the mad, bad heat of high Summer and loved it. Figured if I can take the heat there, I could take it just about anywhere. #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. My main memories are of Christmas camping in Australia, kids’ clubs in Bali, burning sand in Italy and undercooked eggs in Bavaria. #PTTravel
replying to @findinganeish @kate_frankie A2. As an adult, I prefer to travel either side of summer because it’s more affordable and, to be honest, tolerable. But it’s a nice chance to explore Scotland, like Moray last week. #PTTravel
See the iconic lighthouse at Peggy's Cove ... https://t.co/17ec2M0aMC and don't miss all the other delights in this colourful fishing town. #PTTravel
A2: Have never travelled to Europe in the summer until this year! Now a month in and loving the experience. The good definitely outweighs the bad #pttravel
A3 Last August we got away to Lanzarote, and even though it was a short AI ‘holiday’ which is quite unusual for us these days, we managed to get a bit of exploration done at the same time. #PTTravel
A3 #pttravel It's by no means a recent picture ... but you can (in theory) transition from winter to summer in one stride!
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. I’ve managed a couple of trips to England between lockdowns, including York, Brighton and Alnwick. I enjoyed all three, actually - even a brief trip into London. #PTTravel
