Q5 How do you stay cool during the hottest days of summer? Do you need air con on trips?

A5 A nice sea breeze and a dip in the water always helps. This was Tarragona in May - technically Spring but it was 32°C #PTTravel

A5 #pttravel Unless it's VERY hot, the first thing I do is turn the aircon off! To keep cool, wear a little as the surroundings and your modesty will permit, and confine your activities to the cooler hours.

A5 #PTTravel Air conditioning is nice when traveling in summer. I don’t think the air in the room in Hanoi ever did turn off. One of my reasons for moving to the coast was to escape the heat. When it’s 100F in Portland, it can be 60F & foggy here.

A5 I'm not great with heat and recent heatwaves (which I largely missed) would not be my kind of preferred temperature. I like spring and autumn most. I stay in usually during the hottest part of the day. I could become a big fan of siestas

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. Staying in Scotland usually takes care of that. Or it used to. I try to spend the hottest days by the sea. #PTTravel
