A3 #PTTravel We loved Portugal! Our Leaders imposed quarantine while we were away, and most of the Brits shot off home. We stayed ... and almost had the aircraft to ourselves on the trip home.

A2 I am hopefully doing two work trips in October and then November. The big one is Montreal, Canada for NYE. This is third time lucky for Canada trip
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. I managed trips to Alnwick, York, London and Brighton between lockdowns, as well as staycations to Loch Tay, Ballater and Stranraer. I also had a week in the Swiss Alps, which was everything I needed and more. #PTTravel

Q4 Do you have travel insurance and where do you go for information on restrictions or entry requirements?
A3
An international trip to Marrakech, Morocco, back in August 2023 at the wedding ceremony of a friend of mine, and many domestic trips in northern part of Cameroon: Maroua, and the highlands town of Bafoussam

A4 #PTTravel I’ll buy insurance for the time I’m on the trip. For information, I just go on Google & find out what I need. Websites of the US embassies where I’m going can be handy too.

A4 #PTTravel Always have travel insurance ... and for information on COVID restrictions, 'Wanderlust' magazine had a very informative page on their website. However, it hasn't been updated since the end of April.
replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW I often check the British embassies and go on our government website to the travel section. Entry requirements usually given there then I double check #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A4. I’ve always taken out travel insurance, but I’ve started buying it earlier in case of cancellations. As for restrictions, I’ve been waiting until they’re lifted before travelling to a place. #PTTravel
A4 We have annual European cover. It’s Defaqto 5* but relatively cheap. But then we don’t do anything too adventurous! #PTTravel

A4 I always take it travel insurance. I've done that since I first travelled. I feel like its especially important now with so many changing situations. I go on government site and then search online too for entry requirements

A5 I’m not sure if travel has changed, but as we’ve got older and more experienced we’ve changed our approach. I’m certainly more confident to do things completely independently. #PTTravel
A5 #PTTravel It’s changed in terms of what countries require for entry. You may have to show you’ve been vaccinated or a negative test. I will have my vaccination card with me in October. I’ll also still carry a face covering going through crowds & airports.
A5 #pttravel A lot of confusion was caused, IMO, when restrictions were lifted, and everyone felt they had to 'go somewhere. Was it maybe a fear that restrictions may be re-imposed? Hopefully, things will be nearer normal in a few months?
#PTTravel Chat
A5 I think it has changed a bit. You really need to research more and make sure you understand the situation where you're going. There was an Air Suvidha form for flying into Delhi that I had no idea about. At NCL airport, they wouldn't check me through so
replying to @kate_frankie I had to collect bags at Heathrow and then check in again. It was a total pain and more stressful than it needed to be. Research, ask questions and then double check! #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A5. Travel’s changed because the world’s changed. I just try to avoid crowds and travel within my means. It’s served me this far and will hopefully continue to into the future. #PTTravel
