replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2. I tend to do more guided tours at home than abroad, unless it’s a prerequisite of entry to something like the United Nations in Geneva. I’d rather find my own way around. #PTTravel

A4 #PTTravel I'll nominate Sally Lunn's Tea Room, in Bath. The Sally Lunn buns are worth walking miles for.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. I struggle to define local because I do get out so much. But in terms of places with a Dundee post code, I particularly love City Quay, Broughty Ferry, Camperdown Park and Tayport. The places I might see wildlife, basically. #PTTravel

A4 There are so many great local places. Pilgrims Gelato is a stop each time we're on Lindisfarne.
Great local food throughout Northumberland too

replying to @OanaRoua @OanaRoua I do some research and its paid off well in the past. I had some great meals in places like Hong Kong and San Diego that were not always tourist areas and often family run #PTTravel

replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales #pttravel Ha! I was once recommended a superb (his words!) pub ... but, since my friend's visit, it had been taken over by a biker gang, busted twice for drugs and finally burnt to the ground!

A6 Head off the tourist parts. Go to any district with students if you're looking for cheap and local. Don't be afraid to ask and use online resources to check places. Stay safe and enjoy!
