I'm hosting from North East England which is home. I've been to Nottingham this week to see my new workplace and meet some of the team. I start in January. Big change but I'm excited!

Q1 When I ask about over land travel, which trip over land comes to mind for you from any time in the past and why?

A1 Probably our (almost) annual trips to France/Belgium. The Channel Tunnel has certainly made things easier. #PTTravel

Rememberable as driving there was a bucket list thing.

A1 #PTTravel Many come to mind, mostly in the US including the driving trip I took through the Midwest earlier this year. It was memorable because of all the things I was able to scratch off the bucket list.

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW A lot of bucket list things can be ticked off doing overland. Including big road trips in US. I think 66 is a fairly famous one and the drive itself is on the list.
Do you decide before on the stops or just play by ear? #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie It was a little of both for this one. I had some places like the Gateway Arch already booked. I also had about four days when I wasn’t sure what I was going to do, but was able to find something. #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A2 It would have been the Nurburgring trip, and think we ended up driving 1700 miles in the end and took 2 weeks once we factored in stopping in Paris.

I have taken a train from Hiroshima to Tokyo which is 500 miles as well.

A1 I did a lot of overland backpacking in my 20s. Lots of buses, trains and even hiking. So many memories of long days but great sights.
More recently I've taken trains in China, Europe and buses in SE Asia. I tried to do a couple of US states with no car!
