replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. I’m not the most rugged traveller so I have to cast my mind pretty far back. Even this was only a few miles outside ACT. #PTTravel

A1 #PTTravel One big con is you are limited to where you can go. A big pro of driving is you can go at your own pace & maybe find something you weren’t expecting. Australia was a driving trip.

A4 The road trips we take in Europe give us more flexibility to go to places that may be less accessible by public transport. Cons - can’t drink and drive! I was on the metro after this one! #PTTravel

A3 Overland trips in Europe
Italy - I took trains from Venice to Trento then to Verona, Bologna and Florence.
I also got train to London then Eurostar to Paris then went to Bayeux and back.
Small but very fun and saw a lot

A5 #PTTravel I’d like to continue driving trips in the US to see the 12 states I still haven’t been to. I’d like to see more of Canada that way too. Monument Valley was part of a larger driving trip.

The biggest pro of a road-trip was that we were fully on our own schedule https://t.co/VkSY1XES7z

A6 #PTTravel I guess know your geography. Know if you can get there overland. Know what you want to see & if you can book ahead, do. This was Page, Arizona on another trip.
