A2 #pttravel Usually warm just because I want to get away from the cold for a while. This was Maui New Years Eve 2018. At midnight the locals all set off fireworks at once.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel A2: Under normal circumstances though, the UK doesn't get really that cold, relative to places that get a "Winter-and-you-know-about-it". My objection to the UK winter is the dark and grey of it. And the rain. Though it's been dry & sunny for a week here!

@kate_frankie #pttravel A2: I once spent Christmas in Poland, where it was Very Cold and that was quite fun, but we we were only there for 5 days. Idk how it'd be to be in a cold place for a longer time.
The trouble with a warm place is I'd still have to come back to the UK's dank greyness.
