But winter means more chance of getting hold of darker, stronger, beers, so that's always a good thing.

A4 I'm not sure if its unwise to say currently but I've always wanted to see Russia one day. Not for some time now I'd guess.
Greenland and the Arctic look like amazing adventures.

A6 #pttravel Prepare for cold. You may not need it, but be prepared. In New York, I had a battery powered coat, insulated gloves & a hat. That was comfortable in a place where it couldn’t get above 20F. Research the weather & know what you’re getting into.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie #pttravel oh god me too. I've ridden on the TransSiberian but I've not really *been* to Russia, and I want to ... you can do river cruises up the rivers in Siberia (eg the Yenisei) then go deeper into the wilds, and that would be fascinating!
