replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie We’re (me & the youngster) are doing the National Three Peaks with work next weekend for the Alzheimer’s Society (I’m only driving) - should be some great views at this time of year! #pttravel

A2 Maybe Highlands or Northern Ireland in future. Denmark and Finland would be great too.
I need to look at flights from Newcastle & see what's cheap/easy

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Are there many destinations from Newcastle these days? #pttravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Where in the Borders do you like to do? #PTTravel

replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales There are a few good options under £100. It has taken a while for it to recover or get back to a good list of destinations #PTTravel

When you visit Horseshoe Bay in British Columbia (BC), you can explore the charming town or head out on the ferry and discover new destinations. https://t.co/pQJpJGYqbu #PTTravel @BCFerries @horseshoebayba @sunshinecoastca @SecheltBC

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish Kielder and Nland National Park border so quite a few countryside places there. Up to Peebles a couple of times. Always fancied getting to Gretna Green just to say I've been for the day. Maybe give no other details and let people gossip haha #PTTravel

Q4 How do you stick to a budget or find good prices during kids holidays in summer?

A3 #PTTravel
Summer at home ... and a few degrees south of the Arctic Circle; a few days from the Summer Solstice ... 10.40 pm.

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A3. I’ve mostly been jumping between Dundee and Aberdeen this year, but as places they’re as good as anywhere to oversummer. #PTTravel

A4 Look for destinations that are less obviously ‘holidays’ and you can get real bargains. #pttravel

replying to @Txiki_Tales @Txiki_Tales No, I've been to Krakow but not Wroclaw. Did you enjoy there? Krakow was fantastic #PTTravel

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie Yeah, I like Peebles and St Abb’s is really nice, but it’s definitely an area I’d like to see more of. #PTTravel

A4. I avoid the school holidays 😆 however if I was to travel during that time I would try to be open to where I visit rather than having my heart set on a particular place #PTTravel

A4 #PTTravel It’s hard to do. I will use the same apps I use the rest of the year & if you have travel points to use, consider saving them for summer. I saved $250 dollars on a room next week using travel points from a credit card.

A4 #PTTravel I avoid them like the plague!
I have memories of when they closed the factories for maintenance each summer, and sent the workers on 2 weeks' noliday. The northern seaside resorta and the Lake District were not the places to be!

@kate_frankie Good Evening from the mountains of South-West France.
We've been looking for Travel Chat hours to connect with on twitter for a little while.
Hope you're all well?

Q5 What can people do and see in your home country/city/ state during this season for anyone travelling there?

A5 There are some beautiful places close to home. Had a lovely Friday evening picnic in Knaresborough recently! #pttravel

A5 #PTTravel You can find a lot to do & see on the North Oregon Coast & the end of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. @LewisClarkNPS

A5. Where I live is pretty boring but we’re driving distance to a lot of coast so Folkestone and Whitstable are popular places to visit. Plus you can’t come to England and not experience a lovely pub garden with a shandy and a ploughman’s while the sun is shining! #PTTravel
