A6: Unlike the Spanish Inquisition, I always expect to see fossils at #NPS sites. They're an important part of telling the story of a place. #ParkChat

A6 YES! @BigBendNPS has one of the best fossil exhibits we have ever seen! It fit perfectly with the landscape. #ParkChat

replying to @nightborntravel @nightborntravel @59NationalParks @StevenOnTheMove I'm not exactly a "winter person", but I do like the snow. However I'd rather visit Alaska July-September. So start planning. #ParkChat

(7) Fossils preserve landscapes that are vastly different from those found today. Why is it important in this day and age to learn about past ecosystems from millions of years ago? #ParkChat

replying to @Parkasaur @Parkasaur #parkchat A6 maybe because we are always on the lookout for fossils and geology we haven't been surprised by any park acknowledging them. And we always stop and read the signs! 😁

A6) While not a display, the large ranch house at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve was made out of limestone and you can totally see the fossils in some of the limestone bricks! #parkchat #kansas #NationalFossilDay @nature_kansas

replying to @Parkasaur @Parkasaur A6) It seems strange that fossils could be so well preserved in #Florida, this isn't a National Park but I still would like to check it out someday and hoping more places turn this kind of find into well preserved land like our National Parks! https://t.co/8A8df6vOrd #ParkChat

replying to @Parkasaur @Parkasaur A6. Not at the park, but after leaving the Badlands and on the way to Custer State Park in South Dakota. During heavy rain in Rapid City we saw a sign for the university's geology museum. It had wonderful displays of rocks, and of fossils from the Badlands. #parkchat
