A10 Trying to leave Cades Cove in the @GreatSmokyNPS after watching my first-ever total solar eclipse. It took me 5 hours to drive 23 miles. And I was just starting to develop a severe cold, sore throat, and fever. #ParkChat

Everything went so well for that earlier photo. Rain that night had cleared air. Fog lifted after I got there for sunrise & that rainbow in distance appeared. So fortunate. #ParkChat

replying to @GalsWander @GalsWander A11) I'm definitely a meticulous planner (I'm a librarian, after all), but depending on my destination and how much time I have, I may just wing it with a drive-thru. #ParkChat

replying to @GalsWander @GalsWander A11) More or less a careful itinerary. We often "roadtrip" by flying and then renting a car (usually on points) for a week or two. #parkchat
