Q6) Being on the road often means gas stations mnk fast food, etc. Beyond the gas itself what places/things keep you fueled for adventure in our Public Lands? #ParkChat @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute A6: I usually just find a local grocery store and stock up on the basics, like sandwiches. I don't need anything fancy. #ParkChat

A6) My heart wants to say discovering local cuisine wherever we go ... but those $1 large sodas at McDonalds are a true superfuel. #ParkChat https://t.co/XT9xdnlGOh

A6: My best fuel for driving is a good conversation. Music is great, and obviously drinks and snacks are important, but if the car is quiet I get bored and start to dislike the drive. I love talking and reflecting on what I just saw. #ParkChat

I adore my work but it has to come with a healthy dose of getting out on #publiclands. #ParkChat

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute A6: I need games in the back for the kids. Mine don't use devices on road trips. I have them journal & play instead. We don't eat fast food, so we bring a lot of food, but eat at local restaurants along the way. #parkchat

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute #parkchat A6 we like to hit local coffee shops for breakfast, and will always eat at least once inside a park if an extended stay. Otherwise, we tend to hit @McDonalds a lot on the highway portions of our trips. Play places are great for letting off steam!

A6 Waterfalls. I live for waterfalls. I'll drive a hundred miles out of my way to find a #waterfall, especially if it is in a #nationalpark or public land. #ParkChat

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute A6. I find I can usually stock up on a Walmart somewhere (and spend the night) before heading to the Backcountry or campground. I love just cooking up some sausage and rice, it's usually my go to. But for snacks I eat fruit, nuts, dried fruit, crackers, energy bars. #ParkChat
