I was toting my pack along the long dusty Winnemucca road. Yup, I'm ready for the ride! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute I promise to stay for the entire story and not flip to the last page of the book. I've missed this gang while playing nursemaid to a post-surgery chicken jerky obsessed mutt! #ParkChat

(This is her trying to creep into the kitchen when she should be resting.)

Hello #ParkChat from Central Cali Coast where I spent the last sunset of 2018 at Estero Bluffs State Park! @CAStateParks

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1) I'm not sure where this road was located but it was quite an overgrown journey to get to Crisp Point Lighthouse in Michigan. #ParkChat

replying to @BarnetteJason @BarnetteJason @GreatSmokyNPS It's great! Do it! (we did it in a standard rental car) #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1) Yes, the Moki Dugway north of Monument Valley climbs from near the AZ-UT border up a crazy cliff onto Cedar Mesa and superb hiking/backpacking routes in the Grand Gulch Primitive Area. Only a mile or so is gravel, but it's an adventure! #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1) I've been on the unpaved gravel road leading to California's Bodie State Park a couple of times, its washboard for around 15 miles that will move around your internal organs for the entire ride. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @WindCaveNPS A2. I absolutely prefer the deep, far away, unpaved, unmaintained roads of our #PublicLands! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute I’d love to be online tonight but I just got off a plane after a week in Colorado and Utah. I’ve been living #ParkChat and now I need to get to bed! 😂#FindYourPark

A2 Not at all! We just know we have to be cautiouswhile driving. That said, we always talk to a ranger about road conditions first. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1 - we also loved the “Old Dale Road” to deserted mining sites @JoshuaTreeNPS. Except amazed and dismayed by all the Mylar balloons that have blown in here from the LA area. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3: Getting stuck in a foot of mud in the dark near Boundary Peak, Nevada. Luckily, a local farmer was able to pull us out with his truck (you didn't day it had to be a good memory) #ParkChat

A3 Camping in Solis 2 on River Road. I would hazard there were no other humans for at least 20 miles. I have never experienced such amazing quiet. #parkchat
