replying to @MattsRoadTrip @MattsRoadTrip A10. Get the annual parks pass! Every year. Even if you don’t know if you’ll use it enough to get full value. I find just having it in my wallet is motivating. #ParkChat

replying to @MattsRoadTrip @MattsRoadTrip A10) Right now during the shutdown I'd advise them to visit a State or Regional Park instead of a National Park Service area. Once the shutdown is over I'd inform them to do some research & check the park website ahead of time. #ParkChat

replying to @MattsRoadTrip A10. My number one tip is to teach yourself about backcountry safety and #LeaveNoTrace principles. Keeping yourself safe and keeping our wild lands wild are the two best ways to ensure many more wonderful visits to our precious parks & #PublicLands! #ParkChat

replying to @MattsRoadTrip @MattsRoadTrip A10. Start at the visitor center. Ah, but what if it’s closed due to government shutdown you may ask? Be flexible, ask your social media pals for recommendations, visit a state park instead. 😉#parkchat
