A2 This seemingly simple photo took 3 visits. 1st time snow was only on ground. 2nd time, right after storm, snow fell from branches too fast. I drove back home without making a LF photo 3rd time was during snowstorm, wearing full mountaineering gear #parkchat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS #parkchat A2 this pine @WindCaveNPS near the Elk Mtn Campground was a beautiful setting to a -5F sunrise while winter camping. We were the only souls there. Can't understand why...? 😁

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS A2 I have a lot of favorite tree photos, this one from last spring in the Quinnault Rainforest is pretty great! The size of this moss-draped behemoth is truly stunning in person. #parkchat

A3 I would say most of the forts, like @FortPulaskiNPS, don't really have much to do with trees. However, Fort Moultrie, part of @FtSumterNPS, has a VERY interesting story about trees! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS This is at Flamingo Campground @EvergladesNPS. I loved watching the Ospreys feeding the little ones in that huge nest every morning while I watched the sunrise. Fun to think they may be the same ones I watch in the summer on Long Island where they made a big comeback. #parkchat

A3. At a park like @BandelierNPS, the focus is on the cavates and culture. The Ponderosa pine forest atop the canyon doesn't get much attention, but it's beautiful, as are the cottonwoods in the canyon floor. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3: Sorry I'm late! I'm going to go with @HaleakalaNPS! Did you know that redwoods grow within the boundaries of the park? #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3) One might think that with Yosemite National Park until they realize that during their camping trip John Muir convinced President Theodore Roosevelt to include Yosemite Valley & the Mariposa Grove to the park. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute #parkchat A3 with everything else going on @YellowstoneNPS, I suspect tree peeping takes a back seat to many visitors. Not so much for us.

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute Biscayne- everyone focuses on the water but they’re missing one of the largest examples of a mangrove forest that’s protected by the NPS! #FindYourPark #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3 It's definitely true of Mt. St. Helens! Most people only think of the active volcanoe, but there are real giants to be found in the Monument, and even in the blast zone the young forest is beautiful and vibrant - especially in fall! #ParkChat

A4 California Oaks in Joseph Grant County Park. That's home. I can hike from my house to a hill trail with such trees, one of the main considerations for relocating to that part of San Jose, CA #parkchat
