Q3. Trees often take the backseat to what makes a particular Park special. Where is this especially true? #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3 I'd say that's true at many parks. People focus on lakes, trails, wildlife, flowers. Rarely mention trees. #ParkChat

A3 I would say most of the forts, like @FortPulaskiNPS, don't really have much to do with trees. However, Fort Moultrie, part of @FtSumterNPS, has a VERY interesting story about trees! #ParkChat

A3 Guadalupe Mountains. Not a ton of trees - but the ones there are special. Lovely little pinyon pine and the like, and then hidden tracts of even diciduous trees in the canyons. #ParkChat https://t.co/rkNQvw2fMm

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3 - If you put a tree in your backseat - does it help if your car is a convertible? 🌵🌴 #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3 #Parkchat I think the trees of the High Sierra are overlooked. It takes so much for them to survive the harsh climate. There are some beautiful ones.

A3. At a park like @BandelierNPS, the focus is on the cavates and culture. The Ponderosa pine forest atop the canyon doesn't get much attention, but it's beautiful, as are the cottonwoods in the canyon floor. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3) #Parkchat The @DryTortugasNPS since there are mostly shrubs there and it's all about the reef and Ft. Jefferson

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3: Sorry I'm late! I'm going to go with @HaleakalaNPS! Did you know that redwoods grow within the boundaries of the park? #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3) One might think that with Yosemite National Park until they realize that during their camping trip John Muir convinced President Theodore Roosevelt to include Yosemite Valley & the Mariposa Grove to the park. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3: I would say the Desert Parks but when you think about it, it is the scarcity or the way they demure to the landscape that makes them special #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute #parkchat A3 with everything else going on @YellowstoneNPS, I suspect tree peeping takes a back seat to many visitors. Not so much for us.

A3 Definitely @YosemiteNPS. the valley completely overshadows the amazing sequoia trees. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3. Glacier is on the list for me. I think most think of mountains, lakes and wildlife, but trail like the Trail of the Cedars also come to mind quick. #Parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3 It's definitely true of Mt. St. Helens! Most people only think of the active volcanoe, but there are real giants to be found in the Monument, and even in the blast zone the young forest is beautiful and vibrant - especially in fall! #ParkChat
