replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute Redwoods are always sublime but my favorite tree of all time is found in my home parks of @EvergladesNPS and @BigCypressNPS. I love how resilient they are and how they can live in and out of water. AND they’re related to my other favorite- the redwoods! #FindYourPark #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS A2) Hands down it's the Giant Sequoia at John Muir National Historic Site because John Muir planted it himself. #ParkChat

Q3. Trees often take the backseat to what makes a particular Park special. Where is this especially true? #ParkChat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash It's leave. You sound like a damn idiot when you say that. It's make a tree and leave! #ParkChat #BacktotheFuture

A2 This seemingly simple photo took 3 visits. 1st time snow was only on ground. 2nd time, right after storm, snow fell from branches too fast. I drove back home without making a LF photo 3rd time was during snowstorm, wearing full mountaineering gear #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @ShenandoahNPS I do remember that we were surprised that Skyline Drive was open that day! #parkchat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS #parkchat A2 this pine @WindCaveNPS near the Elk Mtn Campground was a beautiful setting to a -5F sunrise while winter camping. We were the only souls there. Can't understand why...? 😁

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS A2 I have a lot of favorite tree photos, this one from last spring in the Quinnault Rainforest is pretty great! The size of this moss-draped behemoth is truly stunning in person. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3 I'd say that's true at many parks. People focus on lakes, trails, wildlife, flowers. Rarely mention trees. #ParkChat

replying to @billbrokob @billbrokob The trees lining Kobuk Valley’s sand dunes look incredible. Any testamonials out there? #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS A2. Among Congaree, Olympic and Mt Ranier, last year was a great year for seeing mind-blowing trees. Hard to pick a favorite from them. hmmm. #parkchat

RT @NakMakFeegle: An adventure to Comet Falls - one of most spectacular of Mt. Rainier's many waterfalls.

A3 I would say most of the forts, like @FortPulaskiNPS, don't really have much to do with trees. However, Fort Moultrie, part of @FtSumterNPS, has a VERY interesting story about trees! #ParkChat

A3 Guadalupe Mountains. Not a ton of trees - but the ones there are special. Lovely little pinyon pine and the like, and then hidden tracts of even diciduous trees in the canyons. #ParkChat https://t.co/rkNQvw2fMm

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @naturetechfam @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS I sobbed like a baby in front of that glorious tree. #FindYourPark #ParkChat

replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @GreatBasinNPS @WindCaveNPS Outstanding photo. #ParkChat

replying to @treasured_lands @treasured_lands Seemingly well worth it. Would love to see Sequioa in such conditions. Can’t imagine the “snow bombs” falling from the branches. Lethal! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatBasinNPS This is at Flamingo Campground @EvergladesNPS. I loved watching the Ospreys feeding the little ones in that huge nest every morning while I watched the sunrise. Fun to think they may be the same ones I watch in the summer on Long Island where they made a big comeback. #parkchat

replying to @BarnetteJason @BarnetteJason @RCGibby73 I can only lob them up there so high, and if you're not quick, someone from #parkchat will pounce.

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2. Many, but not readiy accessible. Aspen trees in RMNP and GTNP are favorites, but I have a shot of the sun coming up behind a tree clinging to the edge of Bryce Canyon. That might be my favorite. I'll have to look for it. #ParkChat
