replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A6 Well, the areas are protected to a degree but still have oil wells, grazing etc. Mixed blessing. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A6. It's usually emptier than NPS sites. And dispersed camping is typically allowed, within certain parameters. #ParkChat

A6 BLM lands are much less visited (no footprints & no others than our party at the Cadiz Sand Dunes, Mojave Trails National Monument) and there are fewer restrictions on camping than in national parks #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A6) I visited Red Rock Canyon National Conservan Area near Las Vegas, its a unique situation where the scenic drive & visitors center is run by the Association which allows the BLM do what they do best, patrol and protect the whole area. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A6. Love the solitude.

Dislike the lack of visitor services in areas that have been designated primarily for recreation. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A6. LOVE the BLM managed land in California (more than I love the BLM - but that’s a subject for a different day). @59NationalParks is right. Pull off on the dirt roads and make camp! Dispersed camping at its very best. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A6. I have many questions about BLM lands. I have experience in grazing livestock in the Midwest, but deserts are different. I'd like to spend some time with BLM employees to learn more. #parkchat

replying to @HubbardJeff @HubbardJeff @Wild_Tribute @59NationalParks A6 #parkchat Well, seeing as I worked for a dozen years on establishing BLM’s National Conservation Lands and launched a number of friends groups for various BLM areas, I definitely have a fondness for them
