Q7. Peak Baggers, High Pointers, High Altitude Seekers all have one thing in common. Summits. What's your most memorable summit? Tell us about it. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A7 I'm not much of "peak bagger" myself - Old Snowy in the Goat Rocks in the Goat Rocks is probably the most dramatic and memorable I've climbed. #parkchat

@Wild_Tribute A7 #parkchat Not sure it's my most memorable, but someone jokingly told me to "summit" Mt Sunflower as I was driving through Kansas.
So I did, and it was hilarious enough that I've been seeking out High Points of Otherwise Flat States ever since! https://t.co/ck6v084gpz

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute #parkchat A7 gotta go with summiting the Beartooth Pass (by car!) and seeing its namesake. Breathtaking!

A7 Mount Rogers, the highest point in @VisitVirginia. It's not very high and there is no view from the top, but I was able to complete something my family had started when I was just ten years old. https://t.co/3C99P5n24q #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A7: Machu Picchu. It's not the highest place I've ever stood, but it's got one of the best views on Earth. https://t.co/SNewVJbAmB #ParkChat

A7 Going in the way-back machine, it was a place in NY we just called High Point; all we had to do was walk out behind our house, bushwhack for about half a mile or so, and toddler me could see my whole world, every place I knew, laid out below #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A7) The hike to the top of the Cinder Cone in Lassen Volcanic National Park was memorable not because of the elevation but the terrain, walking in the lava rock for each two steps forward you feel like you're going one step back. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A7) #ParkChat Again, Mauna Kea because the #STARS! I wish I had the Hard Drive hooked up with some of the photos, I will share this one from the primitive campground in @Volcanoes_NPS instead #Stars #MilkyWay #nightphotography

replying to @Polymathically @Wild_Tribute A7: The highest I've gone is Tambomachay, just outside of Cusco. It's a little over 12,000 feet, and is the site of ancient ruins. https://t.co/yVGaZL5TYu #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A7. I have been birding in Ecuador a couple times. There were van trips to Papallacta Pass, in the Andes. Pass elevation is about 14,000 ft. Probably the highest pt. I've been. Amazing scenery, great birds, terrible weather. I'd go back right now, if I could. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A7: Not much into peak bagging but most memorable for me was Mt. Whitney. I may be a minority but it was underwhelming for me. Might be caused of fatigue. 😅 We were ending our weeklong hike & all I wanted was to get off the mountain & get a shower and a burger #parkchat
