replying to @rscottjones @rscottjones @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute This is how I walk into the local Waffle House now. #ParkChat

replying to @BarnetteJason @BarnetteJason @SouthernerSays @Wild_Tribute I knew I could stir things up. #ParkChat

Q2 #ParkChat During the first year of our 59 National Park adventure I climbed 9 mountains (couldn’t do it now 😉). Which Park Mountains have you summited? Please count your car summits too. Planning on climbing one soon? Describe your experience(s).

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1 Grand Tetons...maybe bc it was my first NP, but no lie I nearly wept when I stepped off the plane in Jackson and saw this from the runway...majestic #ParkChat

A1 Mt Rainier. because you are more likely to actually see it than Denali. @MountRainierNPS #ParkChat

replying to @BarnetteJason @BarnetteJason @GreatSmokyNPS @AT_Conservancy @TravelGburg Those colors #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @SouthernerSays @Wild_Tribute How about that third A in Appalachian though, is it long or short? #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1) I'm going to go with Denali, it stands above the rest of the mountains in the United States. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2: Zero. Workin' on that this year, hopefully. #ParkChat
replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1 - since I’m just back from Colorado Springs how about the iconic Pikes Peak in the Pike & San Isabel National Forests? #ParkChat

replying to @BarnetteJason @BarnetteJason @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute Works best after 2:30am #ParkChat

replying to @BarnetteJason @BarnetteJason @GreatSmokyNPS @AT_Conservancy @TravelGburg A mountain so low you can drive to the top. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute #parkchat A1 a tough question as usual! I'm going with Grand Teton.

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2: I have no bagged no peaks in our Parks, although I’m planning on Guadalupe Peak late Spring. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2 I summited Mount Washington! Ok, fine, my old body rode the cog train up! Pikes Peak! Ok, fine, I rode the train there too. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2. I'm not a fan of homework, but would have liked some time to think about this one. Do state parks count too? And, how about ski lift summits? Can I count those too? Please please? #parkchat

replying to @louisbink @louisbink @Wild_Tribute Been up there a few times. On the incline. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1: Rainier or Denali are the first that come to mind. Grand Teton is pretty awesome as well. #ParkChat

A1: my second answer would say, there doesn’t only have to be one when there are so many amazing mountains in this great country of ours #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks Uhhh. I’ve been to the top of the road at Rainier? 😂 #ParkChat #FindYourPark

A2 Well I've summited the highest #mountain in 7 states but as for #nationalparks? I think I've been to the top of about a dozen mountains. Mostly along the @BlueRidgeNPS #ParkChat

replying to @SouthernerSays @SouthernerSays Yeah, I could sit and stare at it forever! 😍 #parkchat

replying to @RCGibby73 @RCGibby73 Tough little climb. #ParkChat Be sure to check out MCKittrick Canyon too. #ParkChat

A2 Washburn @YellowstoneNPS (twice), Lassen Peak @LassenNPS, Mt Scott @CraterLakeNPS Mt Leconte @GreatSmokyNPS, Old Rag @ShenandoahNPS, Guadalupe Peak @GuadalupeMtnsNP, those are just the most memorable ones I can think of off the top of my head #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @GreatSmokyNPS @AT_Conservancy @TravelGburg It's not a bad walk to the top, but I had to walk up there three times in two years before I saw anything at all. The other two times was completely cloudy and foggy. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2) Since you're allowing mountain roads, I've taken Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park and gone over Beartooth Pass outside of Yellowstone National Park, the two highest highways in the lower 48. #ParkChat

A2 Kennesaw Mountain, Cadillac Mountain, Hurricane Ridge ... nothing significant 😎 #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks
@59NationalParks A2. I can proudly say I have summited Timm's Hill, the highest point in Wisconsin.
🙄🤣
#parkchat

replying to @kristarsha @kristarsha @Wild_Tribute I yelped loudly and started tearing up when we turned out of Jackson Hole and saw them for the first time. They’re glorious. So iconic. 😍 #FindYourPark #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @GreatSmokyNPS @AT_Conservancy @TravelGburg Hey! I've done that a few times haha. But you still have to climb the last mile on foot. On a concrete path. With benches every 1/10 of a mile. #ParkChat
replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2 - Hiking summits for us - Mt Lassen, Mt Guadalupe, a lowered Mt. St Helens and Emory Peak in @BigBendNPS #ParkChat

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @59NationalParks Oh man, you took my two! 😁 #parkchat A2

replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @Wild_Tribute @59NationalParks True, it's not flat there. And Brown County has been called Smokies of Indiana, but they're not mountains. Up north, we have Mount Baldy at the Dunes. #parkchat

Q3. Did you know Long's Peak is the only 14er in Colorado within a National Park? What mountain outside a National Park today could easily have a National Park created around it with the mountain itself as the focal point? #ParkChat

A2. We were 14er seekers when living in CO. Managed to do 14 of the 54. But no Longs Peak. Messed up, right? Lost count since, we love the thrill of a summit! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2) #Parkchat The most special and memorable experience I've had was spent on the top of Mauna Kea, there is a reason it's a sacred place to the Hawaiian's ! #ProtectMaunaKea https://t.co/GU0qtbgl55

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A2) One in a NP, Rainier, but lots in wilderness areas and monuments, St. Helens, Three Fingers and others. #ParkChat
