replying to @RCGibby73 @RCGibby73 I know it's beautiful there, but the poo stories have kept me away. #parkchat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute Are you making fun of my accent? #ParkChat

RT @59NationalParks: Q4 #ParkChat There really is nothing more breathtaking than a mountain lake or waterfall. Have you had experience wit…

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks #parkchat A4 not a long hike, but walking along the Upper Falls @YellowstoneNPS is quite a treat!

replying to @SouthernerSays @SouthernerSays I can never recommend Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park enough. Looking down at peaks higher than tallest in nearly every state. For those reading this, drive it early in summer before thunderclouds gather. #ParkChat

A2 I summited Rainier a bazillion years ago. Guess that’s the highest I’ve been in a national park. 14,411 feet. #parkchat This pic is taken from Burroughs Mountain.

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A4 Where have we not in the mountain parks? Even if it's a tiny little creek with a small waterfall of 6", I'm happy. Just let me hear and smell some water. #ParkChat

replying to @Polymathically @Polymathically Shasta easily worthy of the designation. Beautiful mountain. #ParkChat

replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @RCGibby73 @Wild_Tribute I read it too. For several days after, I kept saying things to myself such as "Black Elk speaks, time to fix lunch." #parkchat

Sorry #parkchat friends! I'm just sitting down to dinner so I'm going to have to catch up on a mountain of questions in a little bit.
In the meantime, who's planning to come and summit Lassen Peak @LassenNPS with me?

replying to @DryTortugasFilm @DryTortugasFilm @Wild_Tribute That's also true of a number of "sky island" mountains here in Arizona. Several you can go from sonoran desert to alpine in just an hour's drive. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3. Yesterday we watched documentary on the Appalachian Trail. Mount Washington in New Hampshire. #parkchat

replying to @Stars252525 @Stars252525 Love the sound of a mountain stream. #ParkChat

A4 Once again, the art historian in me is speaking and voting for Kaaterskill Falls (highest waterfall in NY) and North-South Lake, near the edge of the Catskill escarpment #parkchat

replying to @louisbink @louisbink @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute Love it! #ParkChat #pikespeak

replying to @DonNadeau @DonNadeau @SouthernerSays Absolutely a stunning drive. Love it so. #ParkChat

Q5. Snow and water are constants on mountains. Anything in particular on a certain mountain within our public lands that is particularly unique that adds to its splendor? #ParkChat

replying to @DonNadeau @DonNadeau @SouthernerSays Even better is Old Fall River Rd! 😍 #parkchat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks Paradise at Rainier is justly named. #FindYourPark #ParkChat

A4 I LOVE chasing #waterfalls. Some of the best I've ever come across were in the North Georgia mountains. Moccasin Creek, Anna Ruby, Vogel, and Helton Creek Falls. #ParkChat @ExploreGeorgia

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks Q4) #ParkChat I didn't hike here but saw these #Waterfalls on the #helicopter #Tours with @ParadiseHeli on Big Island, #Hawaii

replying to @rscottjones @ParksandPoints @Wild_Tribute Also, I'm finishing Arkansas and Louisiana's high point in May. #parkchat

A4: Grand Lake is just that, Grand, nestled on the edge of RMNP and Cascade Falls on the East Inlet Trail is a nice site and relaxing to snack next to #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A4) Yep lots. Love swimming in a mountain lake. #ParkChat

A4 The scenery below Wheeler Peak in @GreatBasinNPS is staggering! You would never guess by Baker, Nevada that you would find such beauty! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A4) I would say so, I've sauntered in various locations around Lake Tahoe. #ParkChat

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @Wild_Tribute I'll second that. It's not the biggest or tallest mountain in CA, but view from the summit is indeed incredible. When I was a kid, that was my first lesson about the sheer scale of the world beyond my neighborhood. On a clear day, you can see a couple hundred miles. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @SouthernerSays @Wild_Tribute Oh, why not? That was fun! #ParkChat

A4
Standing at the Brink of the Lower Falls always blows me away. The water pounds so hard through Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, you can feel it through the ground. #parkchat

replying to @DryTortugasFilm @DryTortugasFilm @59NationalParks @ParadiseHeli @AnneJoLee Looks like some of the falls we saw on our way to Molokai! #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A5 Getting to be above the treeline and seeing the tundra in @RockyNPS comes to mind. Such a treat. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute Glaciated mountains are especially impressive. See them while you can it seems. #ParkChat #Alaska

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A4: Funny you should mention that. I just went looking for waterfalls in the northern #SF #BayArea just a couple of weeks ago. https://t.co/PEo78EZOUp #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute Seeing @RockyNPS draped in snow for my first visit there was breathtaking. Those mountains are made for winter. #FindYourPark #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute #parkchat A5 just always amazed that snow remains, even in July, on the taller Rockies! This is at the top of #beartoothpass.

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A3. I too will say Mt. Washington in NH. I've hiked it, driven up, and taken that cog railway, but the views from the next mountain over, on Wildcat, are my favorite #parkchat

replying to @DryTortugasFilm @DryTortugasFilm @59NationalParks @ParadiseHeli @AnneJoLee Great pic. Our time on the Kalalau Trail in Kauai is a top lister. Literally showering in waterfalls. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A5) #Parkchat I particularly recall how COLD the mountain lakes and streams are, so refreshing on a hike! I remember so clearly, listening to my 1st "Babbling brook", missing the summertime in the mountains RN!
