Q3 #ParkChat Park rangers work in ALL public lands, everything from national parks, to wildlife refuges, to national monuments! If you could choose any site to live and work at, which one would it be? And what about this place inspires you to care so deeply about it?

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3) Wolf Trap for Derek (for his other career and passion of lighting design/performance) and Amy Beth is going with Sagamore Hill (if she can live in the house and write!) #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3 I'd love to be at @LittleBigNPS . The story fascinates me. Love being there any time of the year. Fascinating when I'm there late fall with no crowds. The emotions and feelings. #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3. I’d choose a quiet place like @OrganPipeNPS or @LassenNPS or @GreatBasinNPS - each a scenic gem #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 a3 - I think we all know there is a bit of hieraracy of building from smaller public lands to the big jobs at the larger more visited & coveted locales. Bless you and your Ranger colleagues for your dedication to the process! #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3. I remember returning from first road trip through the Rockies that included a bunch of NPS sites thinking I wanted to be a park ranger. It was quickly explained I may be able to become one, but I wouldn't have first crack at, say, Glacier. That bummed me out a bit. #parkchat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3: I really think I’d love a place like Big Bend NP or Statue Ellis for its living history. Opposites yes but it fits me #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 @Wild_Tribute A3 If I could choose any place to be a ranger, it would be in Glacier, my backyard park. That park connects with my soul on so many levels and in all seasons. #parkchat

A3. YNP would come with its challenges but oh the things you would see. Teton would be a close second. #ParkChat

A3: Tough one for me. My heart says @YellowstoneNPS because that park is so special to me but I also think working on the @NationalMallNPS would be awesome because of the historical significance attached to those sites #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3) I'd choose Olympic - because of the variety of what it has to offer. Plus, it's become an obsession of mine. I love that it has beaches, mountains, forests, and more all in one spread out place. So much to do, learn, and experience. #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 @Wild_Tribute A3) I prefer northerly climbs so somewhere that's generally cool, and my love for birds has just grown over the years, so I think it would be exciting to work at a spot devoted to protecting a habitat. You guys tell me where that is 😀 #ParkChat

replying to @louisbink @louisbink @aubreylenae16 A3. Actually in some ways it’s a myth. It mostly has to do with geography. The northeast region parks are one of the hardest to move in to #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3) Since I have 4 NPS areas (Eugene O'Neill & John Muir NHS, Rosie the Riviter NHP and Port Chicago Naval Magazine NMem) nearby that are the same supervision it would be nice to work at each from time to time. #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A3 Grand Tetons, though it's got to be pretty expensive to live in Jackson Hole. Park seems to be manageable size. Neighboring Yellowstone seems overwhelming. #parkchat
