replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A10: If you ask Mr PLL it's doing a death notification on a child. It's truly the most awful part to look a parent in the eyes and tell them their son/daughter is gone. #ParkChat

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee @DryTortugasFilm Yum, we like coffee...and road trips of course. Looks and sounds great! #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A11: Dealing with the non enthusiast public, the visitors there just on a whim with little regard for ārules and regulationsā. That must be frustrating #ParkChat

@aubreylenae16 A9) Certainly donating is an obvious option. Continuing to lobby for them online, in our day-to-day interactions. Honestly just sharing our experiences at parks and posting photos* may have more of an impact than any of us realize! #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A5: I actually unplug as much as possible when I travel, so it wouldn't be an issue for me. I'd be much more concerned with having enough water to last! #ParkChat

Q11. If only a Park Rangerās stories could talk. Is there a story about a Park Ranger or perhaps a story that a Park Ranger conveyed to you that has and always will stick with you? #ParkChat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 A9. Last spring I took the Indiana Master Naturalist classes and I think better education on the impact, both positive and negative, we have on our environment is vital. #parkchat

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @Wild_Tribute Iāve talked to a few rangers that told me of abusive behavior theyāve had to endure. Itās sickening really. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute #parkchat A10 every job has its down side, no matter how fulfilling. Could be bureaucracy, such as #shutdown uncertainties. Having a kid w special needs, having medical is a huge deal and losing that would be very scary. š„

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 In my experience that is a bigger adjustment for those around me than it is for me. For me, I tend to immerse in whatever landscape it is, digital or physical. So in a park, itās immersion in the park. For those who have to get used to not being able to call me. #ParkChat

A10 I've spoken with many #nationalpark Rangers who say the MOST challenging part of their job is getting everything done with the limited time they have. The backlog for repairs and upgrades is ever-growing. #ParkChat

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee @aubreylenae16 Putting in the refillable water bottle stations has been a push in the NPS and itās in tandem with having refillable water bottles sold in gift shops rather than the single-use plastic ones. #parkchat

replying to @aubreylenae16 @aubreylenae16 Push back on harmful actions you see online (or in person). Discourage people from doing things against LNT ethics (or the law) and tag NPS ISB if you suspect laws have been broken so they can investigate. #ParkChat
