replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @ParksandPoints @59NationalParks @AniakchakNPS If it's even half as cool as last year's trip was, amazing will be an understatement. #parkchat
replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @Exotichikes @TRooseveltNPS Cottonwood Campground is about it! A lodge would be nice. #Parkchat
RT @Exotichikes: Q10) There are many popular websites and guidebooks to explore our National Parks. Is there an under the radar park group…
replying to @mtmagog @mtmagog That is amazing! Kind of like the washouts in Olympic, but more unique! #ParkChat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes @_out_door_ Do I need to say it. I thoroughly enjoyed the guidebooks for (yes) the Olympic Peninsula from @_out_door_ - super useful. #ParkChat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A10: Uh group? Hmmm let me think of one right quick. Oh there’s this chat right here on Twitter 😁😁😁 As for guides @beckyjlomax has one she wrote! #ParkChat
replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @Exotichikes @TRooseveltNPS See? Excellent answer. This is why you are in the #ParkChat HOF. Consider the Rough Rider Hotel in Medora during off season. Great hotel and more bacon than you could possibly eat at the breakfast buffet.
replying to @e_terren @e_terren @t_jh2009 @Exotichikes @JohnMuirNPS Oh that’s cool to know. Thanks for the tidbit. #ParkChat
replying to @AlongfortheTrip @AlongfortheTrip @Wild_Tribute @ParksandPoints @59NationalParks @AniakchakNPS Oh, it's definitely not a competition! But it's been a tremendously valuable life endeavor. My life has definitely been changed because of it. #parkchat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A9 I'm generally against any new development in the parks or on public lands. However, I have long thought that the Pacific Northwest's commercial timberland could be acquired, rehabilitated, and developed as new high capacity National Parks. #ParkChat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes #ParkChat A10 how about our own @beckyjlomax and her awesome guidebooks?! 😍
replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @naturetechfam @Exotichikes @TRooseveltNPS Good to know! (We are tenting it there this summer, on the #All50Before40 trip) #ParkChat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A4) I think there should be a museum with more artifacts from @DryTortugasNPS , like Dr. Mudd's cane and the seaweed pressings by the soldiers! #Parkchat
replying to @rscottjones @rscottjones @Wild_Tribute @ParksandPoints @59NationalParks @AniakchakNPS Of course, Denali National Park & Preserve is really just one Unit that the NPS lawyers bizarrely count twice. You should count yourself as having visited them both. #ParkChat https://t.co/jVpFNZY4sn
replying to @RCGibby73 @RCGibby73 @Exotichikes Thanks, Chris, for the mention! Very kind. #ParkChat

Q11 #ParkChat What is the closest “off the beaten path” Park or Public Land near your home (assuming you want to disclose it)? How often do you visit? What are its features and why do you enjoy it?
replying to @DryTortugasFilm @DryTortugasFilm @Exotichikes @DryTortugasNPS That would be awesome! #parkchat
replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @Exotichikes @TRooseveltNPS You had me at bacon. We didn't care for the private campground where we stayed in April 2016. But this sounds ideal! 😁 #parkchat
replying to @bewildandbefree @bewildandbefree That sounds like the perfect day in the Rockies! #ParkChat
replying to @NakMakFeegle @Exotichikes There is one public lands location that could use some new infrastructure: the Multnomah Falls area of the Columbia Gorge. I think it should be turned into a National Park with entrance stations and a shuttle system, with the road road there closed to private vehicles #ParkChat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A10 #parkchat The National Park Travelers Club at https://t.co/oBRGvne4oG is an invaluable community of park questers, especially for information on visiting remote national park units.
replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @Exotichikes Thank you for the love! BTW, getting ready in mid-March for book touring in DC and Bay Area. Should be a hoot to leap between both coasts for this Montana girl. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes @GlacierNPS I didn't have time to get to the top, but even just a few minutes on the trail is an overload of scenery! #ParkChat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A7 / Panorama Trail - Yosemite NP, one of the most beautiful trails in the park system. I highly recommend checking this out if I’m the area. #ParkChat
replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A7. Drive around national grasslands in SW Kansas, eastern Colorado, and Pawnee NG in Colorado. Get a feel for the Dustbowl. #parkchat
A11. Golden Spike National Historic Park (if bill passes, otherwise National Historic Site). Spiral Jetty makes it even more off the beaten path. #ParkChat
A11) Weir Farm NHS! Not totally sure it's off-the-beaten-path, but we love the scenery in all seasons! #parkchat @WeirFarmNPS

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks There is the Cross Timbers Trail on the shores of Lake Texoma that is nice for backpacking. It’s a tad challenging but you can camp right on the lake #ParkChat
replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks A11 The closest one to my REAL home (not where I currently reside) is John Boyd Thacher SP near Albany, NY - it's a geological Galapagos! I try to get there every time I visit family #parkchat
